I do not know Chris Mallick at all, but this is the first thing I've read on GFY that has actually made me angry.
As I said in the post title: Found this "ePassporte Revealed" on the interweb. I cannot post the url per GFY rules.
I didn't write this article. I couldn't either post it truncated, it wouldn't be fair...Selective editing is never fair.
The part that disturb you, did disturb me as well, but it had to stay to preserve the full spirit of the article ...

As in; to show that the author is biased somehow against eppasporte and in a way weakens its own article objectivity and purpose.
Still, it looks like most of the infos there is valid and that Mr Mallick is no stranger to Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

We are all adult webmasters here and most of us noticed that there was something a little bit off in that article as Tempest did point to:
[QUOTE=tempest]I can use ePassporte to get access to porn? How's that? I wonder how many porn addicts have epass or even know about it.. [/QOTE]

"Middle Men," about the beginnings of the online porn industry, grossed just $305,000 at 252 theaters, giving it an average take of only $1,210. Christopher Mallick, one of the movie's subjects, bankrolled its $20-million budget and paid for advertising. It was distributed, for a fee, by Paramount Pictures.

Mallick and Middle Men

J. Christopher Malick is from Texas, and he has a checkered career in business. One company that handled accounts receivable for health services, went bankrupt; another was embroiled in a suit with MasterCard over costs associated with billing of pornographic sites.

Since 2008, Mallick has headed Oxymoron Productions, a film company that has several films in the works, including Middle Men, a film directed and written by George Gallo, that chronicles the life of someone who sounds quite a bit like the early career of Chris Mallick.

For the rest of it, im with michael o, although its hard to stay relaxed.

I really think they ARE trying to solve things, i just think the real reasons havent been put out in the open, and thats why most webmasters are freaking out.
Think logically. If you ended up getting the card then the answer is obviously no.

So you're accusing Christopher Mallick and Epassporte of enabling the exploitation of children via a random link you've found on the internet?

Truncation is irrelevant. Nothing was taken out of context. You support the theory that Epass functionality has been temporarily hindered due to activity involving the exploitation of minors. By quoting these random accuation under your own name, you agree that the opinions included within the quoted text mirror your own, and that you support the claims put forth by "some random, unnamed dude"..

Have you or have you not just confirmed your personal belief that Chrisopher Mallick and Epassporte promotes the propagation and desemmination of illegal activities involving the sexual exploitation children, and that the aforementioned entities evade prosecution of these alleged illegal activities due to arrangements they have made through unnamed charitable organizations?

Yes or no?

Do you believe Epass exploits children as per the statements in your original post?
Did you quote that bullshit because you can't access your account at this time?

No 2 different companies and ePassporte can not access your funds to invest in other things at any time.

Bottom line in the end you'd have 20 indie films in circulation from young directors- rather than one big flop- and if you are prepared to take the hit- at least you'd have more movie rights to play with.

The subject is just not Hollywood. Women don't go see movies like that. Kids can't see them. Porn stars don't care about stuff like that- the only people who might find the subject interesting come to these boards. We should be flattered I suppose.

He probably got some bad advice the more I think about it.

This long weekend thing is an excuse and a half. You'd think banks or visa would bend over backwards and hold an emergency meeting anytime when hundreds of millions are concerned not take a hiatus and sip margaritas then get back to work and deal with it like a regular joes individual account.

You obviously have no clue that ePassporte is more than just a debit card we all accept our affiliate payments through... ePassporte is also used as a tool by processors to get around chargebacks. Say a processor has .8% chargebacks occurring and wants to lower that number... Instead of stopping processing they will make a deal with ePassporte to load an ePassporte "card" with the customers credit card for the amount of the transaction. Now if they chargeback they are doing it to ePassporte, NOT the processor. ePassporte is now assuming the risk.

My example may be too simplified or even possibly a bit off. Nobody seems to talk about it here, but it has been mentioned various times before in posts... but never the topic.

Everyone will get their money, but its very unlikely to be by atm.

Most likely cheques and wires - minus the fees of course.

IMHO
i think it's a bit erly to say about fail of MM. The movie isn't for all, u r right. But MM may get some proceeds in EU and from DVDs. It has chances to win some awards on specific fests which will stimulate its popularity (not Cannes but Berlin, Prague and others), why not? Not only shit happens.

Is that still going on? I thought once epoch and epass severed ties that it ended.

Regardless, my post still stands. The "addicts" and consumers have no idea what goes on behind the scenes, they're using their regular ol visa and mastercard to get access to porn, not epass.

NO to all of the above.
I'm not accusing anyone of anything.
Quoting an article doesn't mean that I agree and endorse or believe everything or anything in it.
If I had quoted ONLY the bit that bother you...That would be another story.

That article as some interesting points about epassporte..and its survival capacity.

I personally always have had a great experience with epass and hope that are back to normal asap.

Positive side of this drama is that have to learn something... first thing is trust! Second... hope... We all know that epass have 7 years biz history. Everyone here (ok not everyone but 99%) doing biz with them and beside all that crap like "I knew it" we have to say... what a minute... they really wanna disappear with all our money? I mean, if they wanted that they could do that long time ago (change DNS server to parking and that's it). But we didn't have that situation... And we have Michael and others who are working on this... SO.. there is a hope that we will get our epass back (not money... EPASS!).

Can we work without epass? Yes we can but that will be such pain in the ass and many of you/us will say "fuck it... I don't wanna do this any more". There is someone who will say "less webmasters... more money for me!". All I wanna say is that we have to come down and let people to do their job! I don't have millions on my account and I really think that I can use my brain to make some money in this or in some other biz (with or without epass). If you have some company that makes you money you will:

1. "Take all money" and run away and let 1 000 000 people hunting on you
2. Continue to make more and more money day by day like you did 7 years already

And DO YOU REALLY think that "MiddleMan" could be the reason why visa suspended epass?! I mean really?! That sounds like I said "National Bank Of America close their doors because of Steven Spielberg new movie". As I can see "MiddleMan" is over (or almost over) and we have this situation now?! I mean if that is really the reason don't you think that they will "use" our money long time ago? Why now when everything is over/almost over?

That's not the impression I got from your initial cut and paste post. You were quite impressed about your "find". If you do not agree with what you copy and pasted, why post it at all?

That part didn't bother you? When I first read your post, I realized that the originator of that article was completely insane. You couldn't see that? Why would you copy and paste an article that unequivocally states that Mr. Mallick promotes the exploitation of children? No supposition - you presented it as a statement of fact. Your post clearly states that Mr. Mallick uses charities to deflect criticism away from his enabling of the exploitation of children.

No "alleged" involved. Your post clearly states this.

I hope and believe that Epass will pull through this crisis. Keyser Soze (PCBBS FTW!) has helped me more than I can possibly repay him.

That is not the point. The point is this: You were pissed off, and you found the single most derogatory, fictitious, out of left field quote you could find concerning Mr. Mallick, and you chose to post it here.

Whether those were your words or not, you chose to sign your name to them. Just to stir up some shit.

Well, I'm the spoon. And the spoon says that you're an asshole.
