I've let 6 year olds shoot machine guns. Age isn't the issue, physical ability and proper safety precautions are.

I wouldn't have left the show but I would have declined any invitation to any shooting range activities in the first place.

Last time I shot was when I was maybe 11 years old. Earned marksman and sharp shooter medals at the IBM country club where my brothers and I received instruction. Only .22's, no semi or full automatics of COURSE as per common human sense which seems to be so lacking today.

Yes, the bipod started to fold and he was trying to grab it thereby putting his hand in the line of fire. The gun was a WWII German made MG 42 machine gun.

Six year olds do not have the physical ability to shoot a machine period. It's beyond stupid to even consider it.

These are dangerous weapons, not toys.

I did shoot with machine gun in military (similar than what that guy above has). It didn't even come to my mind that some children would shoot with machine guns, unless they are some child soldiers in Liberia or something. Although it has already been pointed to me that I don't understand foreign cultures.

As usual, you like to make general comments that do not always apply to all situations.

Carry on....

Yeah he should have known better...I feel worse for the little girl who has to grow up and live her entire life knowing she killed someone. Her parents should be proud of themselves for being such fucking idiots.

I own an old 9mm Uzi semi auto. It's basically a rifle with zero kick even for a kid. I use the long, legal barrel. Everyone I let use it has the feel of shooting an Uzi and loved it. The full auto was drastic over-kill.

I'm glad the instructor got shot in the head. Glad!! A total fucking careless moron like that doesn't deserve to live. Instructing a 9 year to shoot an Uzi??? Are you fucking joking???

I also blame the parents and I think they and the gun range owner should all be held liable for manslaughter.

WHO GIVES A LOADED GUN TO A CHILD???? WHO DOES THAT??????

TRUE FUCKING MORONS.

Was the uzi a micro, mini or standard size?

I was always a MAc10 fan myself. Loved firing the 45 acp at full auto.

Standard size with retractable stock. Real basic gun.

I was given my first gun for Xmas when I was ten...it was an over and under .22/.410. I began shooting around six. By the time I was fifteen I owned several rifles and shotguns.

As for the 9 year old shooting the "instructor", this is 100% the instructors fault. The stance he put her in is wrong but the dumbest thing was where he was standing. Tragic no doubt but easily prevented. The girls age isn't really a factor here but her build certainly is. Once again, the "instructor" could have prevented this in a few different ways.
I have shot plenty of stuff in the military and have never seen anyone helping someone shoot like that.

It looks stupid as shit to me and I bet he never does that again.

He killed himself, why would he let a 9 year old hold and shot a gun?
A 9 year old has not enough strength you idiot!

Kids should be enjoying being kids, playing tag, dodgeball or with their toys. Not fucking around with killing machines.

Speechless.

Would not even attempt to debate anybody who thinks any child under the age of 13 and should ever handle an Uzi, can't argue with 'crazy'.

I totally agree. I've seen crazy videos where they allow children to fire belt-fed machine guns up to .50 cal. The largest caliber weapon I ever fired was a .30-06 BAR semi-automatic rifle and I was like 16.

A BAR is a Browning Automatic Rifle and is full automatic...not semi-automatic though it can be fired semi-automatically.

It's the character Tristana Medeiros from the REC series gleaned off a SFX page on an Artician blog.
