Website cache lawsuit.. HELP!
Never really used the way back machine before or any other cache systems so forgive the ignorant questions that follow.
My father is looking to sew his land lord who illegally prevented the sale of his business as well as a few other illegal and corrupt things. Our lawyer thinks he might have a case, but one of the pieces of evidence was taken down off of the landlords commercial real-estate site. It's a long story.. but in short, for about a week or two, there was a sub-page up that publicly showed that the land lord was willing to split the building into two separate leases for sale (the building has two stores attached, he has forced my father to rent both). Well, that is the piece of evidence we are trying to find. Perhaps a cached page that shows the fact that indeed the land lord was willing and openly trying to sell his store in two separate parts, not one. The whole pretense of the landlord blocking the sale was that he wanted to maintain the entire building (both store fronts) and that he DID NOT want to split it up. By not allowing my father to split it up, it essentially killed the sale. SO MY QUESTION, again I don't know how cache or wayback works.. whether or not it just caches home pages or also includes sub-pages.. but do you guys think it's at all possible to find a cached copy of where the land lord openly admitted he was willing to split the building into two separate leases instead of maintaining the lie that he wanted to keep it as one lease (both store fronts). My father found out too late about this, and the land lord's lawyers became wise.. so once they realized their error they took down the sub-page on their website that showed they were allowing to split the building up. Hopefully I haven't confused the fuck out of you all.. lol. In short, I'm looking for a way to find some kind of copy of the web page listing that they took down to cover their ass. Is this possible? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.. My pops has kidney failure and is now near destitution because this cunt bag deliberately had it out for my dad and blocked the sale every which way possible.. and in some cases, over stepping his legal boundaries to do so. So very much appreciation fellas!

Maybe Google has this page in their cache? Search for this page on Google, click on the drop down arrow right after the url and then click on "Cached". Make the screen shots...

As suggested http://archive.org is your best bet. If you know the exact page which had the evidence enter it in the form and cross your fingers. If it was only up for a week or two I'd say you have about a 10-20% chance of it being there. If the information was up recently try the Google cache too.
About archive.org. Do not let them know you are looking for this information because they can put up a robots.txt file and block the information from being shared (it applies retroactively on archive.org). If you want help feel free to PM me and I'll try to search for you. Just send me the domain name, the exact page if you have it and the address or whatever else you think might be helpful.
