i know 1300 sites like this , they all battle to be the first having the new stuff, thats how they get up on google,
whats even worse is that they have the new episodes even before they are available inside the promotional area,
sometimes even before they are even inside the members area (meaning the studios have leaks)

sometimes i get updates beeing like 7 days old announced as BRAND NEW FHGS, while they are floating allready all torrents/uploaded sites since weeks..

Is there guidelines for your ranking other than frequent updates? Does quality and how well your content plays into the subject matter come into play?

I emailed marshal logins to our paysites, but noticed we aren't listed

well, it's hard to track things if you run a list of 15,000 paysites. i can hire another person just to check paysites for some criteria, but 0day opens us new perspectives. updates are very important thing and those days it says a lot. now we also have access to content options (script is checking video and photo specifics) and can use those for rankings on our directories. but that's about another stage of the project. also content quality is very questionable thing in users' preferences. i get many sales on shitty ccbill amateur sites (
