Scotland vote for independence

Scotland vote for independence.

Why.

I am in England. But I want Scotland to have independence.

I do not say this in some anti Scottish thing.

But because, if Scotland does go independent I am hoping that they will reduce taxes. If Scotland reduces taxes, then so will England.

This should then bring the price of goods and fuel down.

With luck Scotland will also scrap things such a the BBC licence, huge road fund licence and so on. If they do, then England will also have to.

An independent Scotland will get rid of nukes. With luck then maybe rather than move them to England, we will also scrap them and save 10 billion pounds.

This is why I suspect English MP?s want to keep things the way they are. Simply as at the moment they can tax and tax and tax, and waste money on pet projects.

So please I beg you, vote independence.

Do not be scared by the silly scare stores they are trying to scare you with.

Of course Scotland will be fine independent. If may take a few years to sort things out and sure there may be the odd problem to start with, but so what.

why on earth would England have to do the same as Scotland? Makes no sense at all.

Scotland will of cause scrap the BBC licence, they wont have a BBC any more. and if they keep the road fund licence than it'll go up massively, they'll need all the cash they can get.

I just wish they would get it over with - That's all that is on the bloody news ATM...

I also just noticed that that Royal Bank of Scotland have announced they plan to move south if it's a 'yes' vote - I wonder what they have been promised in return for making that announcement today?....

It's weird the way the news agenda works.

Not much about it all year in England, but then with 2 weeks to go, blanket coverage co-ordinated across all of the networks.

I think it has just dawned on them that it might be a 'yes' vote and people are starting to panic...

The UK is NOT going to cut tax. Scotland produces more in UK GDP than it consumes the UK is so totally BROKE that even some kind of resurgence they've seen in the last few weeks, is not going to make one iota of difference.

Eat it up and you'll get an idea of the NWO:

Learn to read, they did not say they will move jobs out of Scotland, it's the BBC trying to scare people into a NO vote. Scotland will do just fine on its own, for too long we have been holding up the UK economy, it's time for that to change.

Do yourself a favour and read all the objective views on independence, Scotland are an Independent Country will thrive. England will not be able to touch our oil or get money from our whiskey industry, it is England who will have to worry about money once Scotland votes YES next week.

If scotland lowers tax, ie vat, then england will.

if not everyone will buy from scotland.

the uk gets away with higher tax as its not cheap to get a ferry.

but if shops sell stuff cheaper in scotland then the uk has no option to lower tax.

some mp's have already admited to this.

riiiiight! So Scotland can survive on oil and whisky alone? It doesn't have a great agriculture infrastructure so will have to buy in far more than it can produce, the same with other essentials, Scotland will find itself having to buy a lot of stuff it took for granted as they were produced in other parts of the UK but will now have to be imported. Scotland will not suddenly become this rich new nation.

It'll be a disaster but people will vote for it because the masses are ignorant.... another proof of a busted democratic system. Allow only those with university degree's to vote and you'll get a different outcome.

isn't Edinburgh something like europes 4th largest financial center? i mean.. to just say they can export oil and whiskey is to overlook a great deal of scotlands exports

as someone so concerned with scotland, why aren't you more familiar with scotlands ability to export?

I think he is right. Look at the changes the USA is considering to keep businesses from fleeing. Competition works.

Another consideration, if the vote is close, it just means they will have a mother go at it Ina few years.
