How Long Do Pools Take To Warm Up?..

Just an estimate - 10mX5m - About 32c and sunny weather - It was filled with well water so I am guessing it was pretty cold - Days, weeks, next summer?..

I'm surprised CS hasn't showed up to talk about warm poos yet.

If it is directly in the sun it won't take more than a few days. Put a cover on it if you have cold nights.

I was wondering if it helped to pee in it - ...

It's mum's new place in Spain - The nights are pretty good ATM - It was filled a few days ago and I am going out in 2 weeks - Sounds like it should be OK.....

If it is 32C outside, why would you even care at all about pool temp? Call me crazy, but I would prefer to jump in a cooler pool, scratch that, *ocean*.

String? - Train?...

Edit: Oh - I get it - Not enough info - We say 'How long is a piece of string?' - Still lost on the train thing though...

There is a calculator on this page for a pool heater....

http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/sw...ing-d_878.html

Maybe fill in how many BTU/hr the sun is delivering instead. I'm not sure what that number is. Possibly around 300 BTU per square foot.

98.4ft x 49.2ft = 4,841 sq ft x 300 btu sq ft = 1,452,300 btu

In the middle of a terrible drought around there, crops dying, water table dropping like a stone, and you fill a pool? Good work!

My brother had a pool pretty much the same size and in the summer the temperatures here are more or less in that region (30+), so if I have to take a guesss .... yeah, I don't have a clue.

Hope that helps

For your little pond few days should do it, or even a day. Well, of course depends what is warmed up to you. For outdoor temperature I would say 2-3 days.

I just installed a pool in my new house and figured it would heat up pretty fast, how wrong was I? I have a pretty good heater on it, I keep it around 84F, to get it up to 88, I have to switch the heat up around 2pm if I wanna be using it nice and warm that night. On a nice sunny hot day, it will naturally hit 90F and keeping it there is very easy so it isn't too bad but if it's a cloudier day, getting the heat up for night swimming is a 5-6 hour process for me at least.

Google image date was June/2013 - and it looks like a realty sign on the front gate. Was it on the market awhile?

It was on at 340K for ages - They had to drop it - There is so much property there - It's a serious bargain at 200K though - We wanted a place like that in the area and it was too good to miss...

Congrats on the new home.

How about... You let us know how long it takes to warm up?

The only pool I ever owned was in Phoenix and heating it was never a problem.

I would like to know that too, but I thought it was about warming naturally, not being heated?
