My best friend is an exec at Splunk. That shit is for extremely BORING mainstream 'reporting' like GE, etc.

there is a lot of data that splunk gathers, that a smart person in adult could put to use. certainly tube sites and people that rely on time on site, page views, etc. it can also be used for catching fraud and other things.

I am more inclined toward custom solutions using MarkLogic (noSQL) and Apache Hadoop for scaling reasons ;0) |
