Webcamwiz and DNS. I don't get it.

So it gives you IP address and thats it?
Your DNS record is - 60.blah.blah

How do I set that up with godaddy?

No ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com ?

I can do that, but would've been nice how pimproll did it, or setup ns1.mydomain on their server automatically and I can just set that dns record with that IP @ godaddy.

Anybody from pussycash in the house to clarify?

DNS "a record".

" Find where your "A number" or "A record" is. In Godaddy you will go to "domain control" then select your domain name in blue. This will pull up another window. In that window there are 6 options, One will be DNS, at the bottom of the DNS column will be a link to "DNS Control". Click that link and up will pop another page and VOILA the first area you see will say A Number / A Record. if you are setting up a domain you will change the record that has the "@", if it is a subdomain like "cams.hotmessengergirl.com" it will say "cams". Scroll to the right and you will see an edit icon it looks like a pen and paper. Click it. Up will pop another window. Replace the current "A number" with the a number given to you by the white label company."

Here's their instructions.. and my godaddy account says

"DNS Manager: Not hosted here"

Quote:
Open 3 DNS type "A" records:

1. Host name "www" - needs to point to IP: 66.6.21.144
This will enable users to access your site on www.domain.com (exact URL)

2. Host name: @ - needs to point to IP: 66.6.21.144
This will enable users to access your site on domain.com (without the "www")

3. Host name: * - needs to point to IP: 66.6.21.144
This will enable users to access your site on X.domain.com (with any prefix)

Once DNS changes are complete you can start sending traffic to your webcam site.

Hes to stupid to know he has to change back to godaddy's dns first before he can change any/additional dns. Without that he wont even see the "dns management" button.

But hey he is in this biz for so long right, this baller would know this right..

If you have 2 different IPs , you can create host names for them in godaddy :

ns1.domain.com ns2.domain.com

then set those ns as DNS servers , also in godaddy, or your registrar.

Remember DNS propagation can take up to 24 hours.

I tried to use those IP's as DNS and godaddy didn't allow me to do it, so i have to just use ns1.mydomain.com ns2.mydomain.com and then somewhere on godaddy set DNS with IP's i got from webcamwiz?
