TGP sites should the galleries be censored?
Wondering what peoples take is on this. I started thinking about it on hoopers post.
Why don't webmasters censor the pics or maybe just show some tits very softcore and then the conversions off it will get better. Show them less and they will want more. its to easy to jack off to them and not have to pay. I know this topic has been discussed many times I'm just wondering when people will take action to clean it up. since there is no age verification to view them. It might just help us out in the long run  |

Great idea, unfortunately you can not enforce it.
There will always be fuckers ou there that will not censor the pics in order to get more traffic. If the Hun started censoring all his galleries he'd lose a lot of his bookmarkers.

I agree, but think censoring them is probably not going to happen. They should be shut down. Anywhere else you go, you need to be of age to get porn. Why are these TGPs allowed some sort of exception? Does the law bend for pushing it across the Internet? Maybe I'll set up a new site and give away free cigarettes and booze to kids or anyone else that comes along. It's okay for porn, must be okay for everything else too right?

Yea i know its sucks but if all the big TGP's followed I'm sure they would still get the same amount of traffic.
when I was young I had to watch fuzzy channels with porn in them and get lucky if a saw a tit or something. It needs to start somewhere and now we got a break because of 9/11 I bet if they all did it and enforced it we would all be much happier in many ways I don't think they should be shut down just censored Its a little to late to shut them down alot of kids have seen just about everything already. the times have changed and alot more is deemed exceptible. Kids see more violence then sex which is totally backwords but thats the way it goes I guess. mainstream is screwed up in there own way. |

I hope the Bush administration will put in a new law that makes it required for all adult material to be in protected area.
- It will keep children out for 95%. - It will help bring back the good conversions we all enjoyed back in 1996/1997. None of the TGP's will do this out of their own free will, so a law is needed. |

Sure Bush could say free porn is illegal, but will that stop Russians, Canadians, Europeans, Asians from showing free porn? Get a fucking clue. Since the internet is world wide it makes no difference if Americans can't show the pink in free areas, cause the surfer can just type in the url of a Non-American website and see all he wants. So Bush cracks down on free porn and Non-Americans will pick up all the extra surfers. Unless some universal internet law comes to pass - Mr.Bush can fuck off with his laws. It won't change anything except put a few American TGPs out of business. |

Does viewing porn have some terrible lasting effect on kids ? I know booze cigarettes and drugs can. Imagine if the US banned TGP's , guys like the Hun would clean up and Dutch hosting services would experience massive overnight growth. |

Well, since we all know there's no way in hell the free porn can ever be legislated off the Net... and we all know there is sufficient amounts of it available on the Net to pretty much classify the Internet as an adult realm altogether, perhaps computers should only be available inside seedy physical porn retail stores. Go into a little booth in the back, grab that greasy mouse and start clickin'.
That's really the only true answer. Make computers illegal outside of porn shop owners, strip club establishments, and bars. And of course this must be enforced world-wide by the new universal jurisdiction System Police by random door to door compliance checks and violators executed on sight.

Although most unlikely, if all western powers would pass a law that requires all porn to be behind a protected system it would work. No one is going to host their stuff in a third world country.

It's always been the recommendation to tease the surfer into wanting more by not revealing too much, but it's like anything else.. there are always those that want to out-do eveyone by thinking that giving it all away free will somehow help their wallet.
Then you have some tgp sites that will not accept galleries if there isn't enough nudity. Where there is no standard set, anything goes... and that's the problem. |

 It seems pretty obvious that pictures revealing less will yield better conversions. No TGP wants to do it though, 'cause although the traffic they will have will be better quality, they'll be losing a bunch of hits to other TGP's that are showing uncensored shots. Perhaps if a network of TGP sites got together and only traded traffic with sites that were censored, it could work. Gradually, more sites would probably join. As long as you're not sending your traffic to a site that shows uncensored pics, via trades, then it'd be all good. Well, at least that's what i think. |

i saw a documentary on tv about kids and the pornographic images on the internet they can watch if their parents are not there. The scientists that talked said they won't harm them. This of course doesn't mean they shouldn't have supervisors at early ages or that they should surf porn!

I cannot count the number of guys I know (non-webmasters) who have said something like "why would anyone PAY for porn? all you have to do is go to (insertTGPnameshere) and get all you want."
advertising revenue. nuff said. Kinda like those people who figure out how to hook up their cable tv without subscribing to the serice. |

well, tgp2 is doing pretty well with its version of the TGP - so why cant a new type of tgp emerge that only allows censored pics?
if theres a good ring of these sitse, then overtime more and moer people will be in that "loop" and imagine the money people will make.. (to see uncensored pics - theyd do anything )but this new tgp has to start just like tgp2
