any good bounced check stories?
Anyone got any bounced check stories? The only bounced check ive ever gotten was a couple years ago i think from EZGreen. They made it up real fast. Then i stopped using them and about 2 weeks after that they pretty much stopped paying altogether unless you were real nice to them. I think i learned from that and if i ever got another rubber check i would stay pretty far away from the company.

Even worse than bouncing is when you rip a check while opening the envelope. I fucking hate that!
And it's a shame that EZ Green turned out like that. That used to be a GREAT program. Best e-mail sponsor I ever used on my free sites. ------------------ Porncoaster Free Hosting - 50 Megs + Unlimited Bandwidth [This message has been edited by Steve (edited 08-30-2001).] |

IEG used to send out checks for as low as $0.02. Not only did they spend 30 some odd sents of postage, but the checks would bounce and banks would charge the webmasters $10 bounced check fee. Got one from a guy around the time of DMR's demise. I think $9,000 or so, but he didn't get paid from DMR, and didn't have money to pay us. So it bounced, and by the time he was tracked down, he was living on the couch of his cousin in a different state, and didn't have a dime to his name. That's not bad enough, he still owed another $10,000 or $15,000 our way. Money never seen... Some other flakes here and there, but nothing too substantial. Sometimes people intend on screwing people. Sometimes things happen that are beyond control. And sometimes people just fuck-up. Always be prepared. peace |
