Food skamps are awesome, one of our neighbors has them, he gets $400 a month, we buy half of that off him for $100.

He still eats like a king.

Somehow though, he always has liquor, weed and cigs on hand and he doesn't have a job.

The worst are the dirty fucking hipsters who use Food Stamps at WHOLE FOODS. They qualify because they have low income but their rich parents fill their bank accounts with money.

Believe it or not all of their loose oats/almonds/nuts, even coconut oil are cheaper than most supermarkets around. I guess because they sell more of that niche healthy type food they can sell it for cheaper? Might not necessarily be a bad thing, unless he was buying like 6 dollar coconut waters haha

I never understand this argument. Junkfood is more expensive than raw ingredients. A bag of chips is several dollars and not filling. Cookies are cheaper to make than buy. Fruit and vegetables in season are really not that bad. There is always a protein source on sale, usually pork or chicken and often beef. Eggs are two dollars or less a dozen. Purchase in bulk and everything is even cheaper.

You must not eat out much or cook often.

Try cooking a meal using real meat, vegetables, salad etc.

No way can you feed 5 people for less then $15.

But you can go to Taco Bell and do it buying soft tacos.
