Seems herd mentality keeps most people in line thinking all TGP's are worth 3x-6x monthly income. I would agree. I wouldn't risk any more on that if I was buying a

For most here $800-$1200 is their ceiling of available money.

Move it onto a cheaper server and you'll make that much in no time.

If you read the thread you will notice his host changed his price from the crazy high one to $199 so no need to go an about the price for the server.

OK missed that one, he should of done this sooner. Still makes the offers of $800-$1200 look like the chancers buying at a price they can afford rather than on the value of the site. Sadly that's the level of vision, innovation and adaptation they have.

I'm sure a traffic guy like you would see the opportunities to be had with this site, are far above $800-$1200 in value.

They had contract for 790$ and BOTH sides agreed on that, so I do not see here any fault by natnet (except that they were not good samaritans anddid not offer to lower it, being good samaritan is not what business is about)

ps: 26K sounds high but none of you kept in mind that he did not update advertising (as he claimed) so site's "real" (with correct advertising) profit numbers might have been higher.

Like I said - "real" revenue may be higher as he "stopped changing advertising in 2005". So MIGHT be that only advertising optimization could put it up to 2000$/month site, so that would be 12months*revenue.
Its just my speculation, but usually if a buyer sees that site is "underoptimized" for revenue he may offer more based on its "real" monetization value.

Its like somebody would sell 10000 hits a day site without any advertising except 1 link sold for 5$ per month, nobody would base that only on 5$/month (5$ * 6 months I give you 30$ lol)
