Profitable adult website for sale, low maintenance

I am selling a profitable adult website. The website is a few years old. Traffic is good and income is on an upward trend. The site's traffic is almost entirely organic. The site ranks high for several related keywords in Google, Bing and Yahoo.

The site's income comes from a mix of affiliate programs and direct banner ad sales to advertisers. All income sources are reliable and steady. The site has been making money steadily for years.

I realize that selling websites is not the easiest thing in the world, but I have done it here before. All parties were left satisfied with past arrangements.

I will try to answer all questions in this post, but feel free to ask any others you may have. I will not be too specific about the site in the open forum for reasons that should be obvious to anyone who has won the battle for valuable keywords.

How much does the site earn?

The total income for the last twelve months was $7500. That's an average of $625. Income is trending upward. Last month the website earned 850. Income has never been lower than 500.

How much do you want for it?

$21,000. That is around 24 times the most recent monthly earnings. It is a fair price. If this was a mainstream site I would get a lot more.

In all likelihood, the buyer will make their $21,000 back quickly and then continue on with pure profit for some time to come. The site has a good track record and no signs of slowing down.

How will I make money?

All you have to do is sit back and collect. The affiliate programs I use are all easy to sign up with. They pay monthly by PayPal. Changing my affiliate links to yours and you are ready to go. I can even do this for you if you want.

I will also include scheduled updates with the website. That means the website will continue to be updated with new posts as scheduled until the end of April, 2018. After that you can either let the website coast or make new posts.

There is no indication that new posts are necessary by the way. A lot of the traffic comes to the older posts that are years old. They still contain affiliate links and generate money day after day.

I simply create new posts out of habit and in hopes of getting picked up for more keywords in the search engines.

The banner spots are sold on a monthly basis. The same advertisers have been returning month after month for a while. All you have to do is shoot them an email at the end of the month saying "hey, please send over your monthly payment to keep your banner on my website." They normally pay within 24 hours.

How much does it cost to maintain this site?

I am using an economy hosting service. I pay about $60 a year for the domain, hosting and whois privacy. You can use the same service or any other you want. The site is not resource intensive.

If you don't want to write posts yourself, you can find people to write posts for as little as $5 online. If you can't figure out what to do I would agree to write posts for you in the future for a reasonable fee.

Why are you selling a site that makes money?

Truthfully, this is one of the lowest earning sites I own. It will not kill me to lose it. Anyway, I am more of a site builder than an affiliate marketer. I obviously know how to do affiliate marketing but I like to build sites and test out new ideas a lot more. A site I sold here in the past went on to make way more than I ever imagined. That didn't bother me since it freed up time for me to make more sites (like the one I am selling today).

Additionally I am trying to get some cash together to put a down payment on a major purchase. This would help in that regard.

That said, the site is no burden to me and I am not in an emergency situation. If I cannot get an adequate amount of money, I will simply keep running the site and collecting the revenue.

Thanks for looking!

$21k = 32 months Average income

Ohh wait

Just just took last months earnings as it was the biggest then x 24 ?

Now i get it, one good month and you want someone to pay for 24 of them.

Is any part of that income for rebills ? If so then the buyer would need the affiliate accounts aswell as you've added the rebills by 24 months ( well 32 months)

There are no rebills. The affiliate income comes from the sale of physical products.

Nothing is hidden here. As I said, I'm looking for "around 24 times the most recent monthly earnings."

If you're not interested in the site at this price the best thing to do is make a counter offer or move on.

I see deals I wouldn't go in for on this website all the time. I also see cars for sale on craigslist that I am not interesting in buying. I don't necessarily need to comment on them. As far as I know there's no salary paid to those in the peanut gallery.

Thanks

It was a public service, you obviously do not understand the adult market

nobody is giving you 2 years revenue for that site...and lets be real here you haven't made anywhere near 21k on there in the last two years anyway.

What a mainstream site is worth is totally irreverent, that is why I commented...you think you can come here and tell us its a good deal because "mainstream sites are worth more" all you want...just a reality check, take it or leave it

You can never price an adult site for 24 x monthly revenue. That's insane, adults sites aren't stable enough for that especially with some of the new laws coming out in countries like the UK.

You'd be a fool to pay that much. But if anyone does buy it I have a site with the same revenue, you can buy that too :P

Good luck for the sale.

Maybe you could be a bit less secretive about your site so people will understand it better. Most guys might think all you have is a splog or a tube.
