All Presidents carry the title President for life.

When you have served the country, your name is entered into a list, currently only containing 45 names. You will be called Mr President or President X, Y and Z till the day you die.

You also retain a small group of body guards from the Secret Service, an office and three secretaries in Washington DC and you get to send free mail the rest of your life with the US Postal Service by just signing your initial up in the corner where normal people put stamps. This is done so you can communicate with all your former voters even after leaving office.

It's pretty freaking simple really. Instead of calling them Mr. President, you call them by their names and not their titles - You call them President Obama, President Bush, President Clinton, etc.
