Blog with porn comics about popular tv characters?

Since I can't really rank with my embed tubes and blog with downloaded pics I decided that I can try to make my own content. I can draw porn comics about popular tv characters. Is it even legal? But I have seen many porn sites dedicated to Simpsons etc.. Do you guys have some hints? Thanks. :upsidedow

Thanks. I wouldn't want to sell my drawings. Just upload on my blog and profit from ad networks or cartoon affiliates. Anyone some experience?

the article discusses the applications of what you want to do. selling is just one way to distribute the art. you are using it for marketing, but it would follow the same copyright rules. i think u have to stay away from key identifiers like outfits and names. check out the porn parodies for examples.

:thumbsup

I remember reading an interview once by a studio that produces most of these xxx parodies and they claimed the reason for getting away with porn parodies on big titles like Star Wars (copyright Disney, lol) is that these companies (copyright owners) don't want to get their hands 'dirty' and make the news with a lawsuit involving the adult business. Mixing Disney and porn in one news article doesn't sound like good pr for one of those two involved ;) plus, the law is a bit vague where to draw the line on copyrights and parodies... Think the risk isn't that high. I have seen plenty porn versions of cartoons like The Simpsons and Dragonball Z and such. Not just on free sites but al so big membership websites. Lawsuit risk? Nah, maybe a dmca take down at worst.
