Having some technical (plugin) issues and looking for advice

So I've been reading through and trying to learn a lot and it's been helping so I've decided to restructure my first/test website - FapSociety (hopefully that doesn't count as a plug, just a reference for anyone who needs to see it) - originally with this site I was looking for a way to automate the content and used a plugin called wpXtube (I couldn't include URLS since I'm still new).

Overall it worked but I had 2 issues:
  1. although it had a variety of sites that it supposedly worked with I couldn't get it to populate all the sites I signed up with through it, and
  2. when I'd want to add my own posts (this is wordpress by the way) or include my own featured/embedded images the plugin would interfere

When I reached out the wpXtube I didn't get any feedback so I deactivated it - now I can post new content but everything the plugin posted doesn't appear.

Does anyone have experience with wpXtube? Any workarounds or should I just remove it and start populating the page from scratch manually?

I'm hoping if I can make this profitable then I'll be investing into some paid plugins, but in the meantime I'm limited to free items
