'Day Without Immigrants' protests being held across US
 

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Immigrants across the country are expected to stay home from school and work on Thursday to show how critical they are to the U.S. economy and way of life. "A Day Without Immigrants" actions are planned in cities including Philadelphia, Washington, Boston, Houston, Chicago and New York. The protest gained momentum on social media and by word of mouth.

It comes in response to President Donald Trump, whose administration has pledged to increase the deportation of immigrants living in the country illegally. Trump campaigned on building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, and blamed high unemployment on immigration. As president, he's called for a ban on people from seven Muslim-majority countries from coming into the U.S.

Organizers expect thousands of people to participate or show solidarity with workers.

But it's like these morons don't understand the difference between immigrant - illegal immigrant and refugee

It's the difference between going to the bank and robbing it vs withdrawing your own money

Does that also mean a day without illegals taking welfare, clogging the ER, sending their kids to our schools, etc.... ????

I swear I didn't even know it was happening. I've been all over town today too...didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
But there were the usual Mexican guys in the parking lot at Home Depot when I stopped in this evening.
Those hard working bad-asses obviously don't pay attention to the "snowflakes" in the Democrat Party who came up with the bright idea for all of them to NOT work and lose money today.
