Payoneer - closing??

From email:

"We?re excited! Today we?re announcing that together with our long-standing business partner, Choice Bank, we will be launching a new brand called Firstchoice Pay and transitioning you to it on February 1st, 2017. "

danep 01-11-2017 03:40 AM

Hi, please allow me to explain.

I know that many of you have received an email announcing the launch of Firstchoice Pay. I am happy to share this exciting news with you and I hope that I can help support this transition which takes place at the beginning of February.

Under the Firstchoice Pay brand, we will continue to support your payment needs and assure you that you have a quality payment provider for years to come. I am here to personally make sure that your transition to the new brand and platform will be effortless and familiar.

If you have further questions above the information you received in your email, please let me know so I can help you find out about how the new brand will support your payment needs.

Hi Dan,

Congrats!

Hoping that this will bring some good changes :)

Will this be finally solving the discrepancies such as not all accounts being able to send to one another?
- mainstream accounts VS adult accounts
- card accounts VS bank-transfer accounts (as in you can't get paid from all companies if you have a bank-transfer Payoneer)

It's a real problem currently that you may need to open a lot of Payoneer accounts to be able to get paid from different sources. It's very confusing for both the users, and the companies sending the payouts.

Some other suggestions:

It'd also help if you had a standard fees system that's stated on the website, instead of a per-account/per-payment-source fee system.

It would also be great if you could create a company account from any country. Right now some companies can only sign up when going through a payout program's link.

Hi, thank you so much! One of the aims is to minimize confusions and provide better services, and simple fee structures. I Hope we'll be in touch soon.

I was wondering why my new card has the logo of Choice bank instead this one of Payoneer. Maybe that explains everything. But if we need new cards again, I just get back to Paxum.

Payoneer is not closing, but it looks like they are getting rid of adult (and cam sites/girls) and sold that part of to Choice's payment service https://www.firstchoicepay.com/
They say it's a partnership, but nothing on firstchoicepay.com suggests that's it is some kind of partnership with any company, the website, domain, etc. are fully owned by Choice Bank.

I guess after Payoneer got the big seed investment last year they needed to get rid of adult and made some deal with Choice to take over that part.

Choice is also the issuer of the Payoneer (and Paxum) debit cards and have been around for a very long time so it's nothing to worry about.

Here is an article from November 2016 on a Romanian site that says "Payoneer that no longer wants to work with adult reason that made her different company specifically for the live web camming." Payoneer devine FirstChoicePay. Metode de plata folosite de siteurile de videochat - PISPIS.RO NEWS
it looks like they already informed the adult and cam sites etc. about the change a few months ago.

From Payoneer: "We have notified all of the platforms you work with who will transition to Firstchoice Pay regarding this change, and together, we have worked hard to ensure a smooth transition."

Dan, your answers are rather vague and do not address the questions being asked here. Thus, please answer the following questions.
  1. Will existing Payoneer Cards from CHOICE bank still be valid after Feb 1, 2017?
  2. If NO to #1, when will the existing cards stop working?
  3. If NO to #1, when will new cards be sent out?
  4. If NO to #1, will existing card owners be required to reapply via each affiliate program?
  5. If NO to #1, will existing card owners have to provide new documentation?
  6. If YES to #1, will further functionality be added, such as the ability to transfer to existing credit card, to bank accounts, etc?
  7. WHO will be leading the transition, Payoneer, FirstChoicePay, or each affiliate program?
  8. Will the existing Payoneer site continue to be the login site, or will there be a new site?
  9. What happens to the documentation already stored with Payoneer? Will it be transferred to FirstChoicePay, or destroyed?

If you could answer these questions, it would be appreciated.

I never got an email

Tasty1 01-11-2017 09:50 AM

so i need another payoneer account for mainstream and adult goes to firstchoicepay?

Nicky 01-11-2017 10:00 AM

"You will now have an online account for both Payoneer and Firstchoice Pay, as well as a dedicated prepaid MasterCard® for each."

So new card for first choice pay I guess, that sucks big time as I just got my new card!

So we don't have to replace our cards. But First Choice isn't my Choice. I'm transferring future payments back to Paxum - my last choice! :1orglaugh

klinton 01-12-2017 07:20 AM

I think thats not permanent solution from Payoneer.
they should create something like this:
if your surname ends with K-Z you have to use prepaid card issued for such surnames.
if your surname ends with A-J you have to use prepaid issued for such surnames.

If your surname starts with A-J, but ends with K-Z you should use new prepaid card for such cases.

the same with surnames starting K-Z and ending with A-J.

did I forget about something ? doesnt matter ! thank me later for that tip, its gratis :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup
