Where to get great HTML5 responsive templates?
 

So far everything I am looking at rates poorly on https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ and I don't want to spend the time building one from scratch this time.

Anyone have a great place to get templates?

then find something pre-made and modify it to suit your needs.

That's what I was looking to do.

Try https://startbootstrap.com/ for some free options that will start out in the mid 70's for mobile and mid 80's for desktop on the GPS test. From there, you always have to tweak things to get them higher. You will have to sort through them, not all will score this high by default.

Another site that sells templates from multiple designers that has some starting in the same range is https://wrapbootstrap.com. It's important to note that this site frames the live previews, so click the button to remove the frame to get the direct URL to test on GPS.

To date, I've never found a low cost or free template that scored much higher than this range by default as you will need to optimize images and minify CSS, JS and HTML yourself once the design is where you want it to be. If you are running on a Linux server with Apache or NGINX, have mod_pagespeed added to your server and configure it to further improve the results based on what GPS tests for.
