brassmonkey 05-24-2015 09:45 AM

you pay for premium service. no way paxum is the same caliber

Andreweb 05-24-2015 09:57 AM

Payoneer it may be a bit expensive but their services rocks , never had problems with them and their support really rocks !

greg80 05-24-2015 10:01 AM

Payoneer is awesome, their live support gets shit done on the spot (including verifying documents).

second half of 2014 that would value the company at $700 million :2 cents::2 cents:
probably closer to 800 now

faxxaff 05-24-2015 10:23 AM

You would also need to look at the transaction fees and exchange rates to get a complete picture. In both cases people throw a lot of money out of the window compared to a regular, free checking account with an ATM card.

They apparently use the same bank in belize to issue the cards too.

bns666 05-25-2015 02:44 AM

- still cheaper than bank wire transfers.
- still more convenient than checks for people in eu.

:thumbsup for both payoneer and paxum

Vrindavan 05-25-2015 03:13 AM

great to have both.

nico-t 05-25-2015 03:34 AM

Is the last point (POS purchase) added specifically for Currentlysober?

HowlingWulf 05-25-2015 05:52 AM

One sponsor led me to sign up for a Payoneer account.
The activation fee was waived. I pay $2 load funds fee, and only use it for POS purchases.
I'm charged either a $1 or $3 monthly fee depending on # of transactions for previous month. <== Don't like this, but so far I'm okay with it.

yuu.design 05-25-2015 06:16 AM

interesting

That looks great Nikki! There is a slight error in the information shown though, and the real numbers look even better! :pimp

In case you weren't aware, in January 2015, Paxum completely removed the POS fee for all clients.

All Paxum POS transactions are free!

The actual math (based on 52 card loads (1 per week) and 10 ATM withdrawals/5 POS transactions per month, for 12 months) is as follows:

Payoneer

Activation fee = $24.95
Monthly account fee = 12 x $1.00 = $12
Weekly transfer to card for a year = 52 x $2 = $104
Year of 10 ATM withdrawals per month = 120 x $3.15 = $378
Year of 5 POS transactions per month = 60 x FREE = $0

Total = $518.95 USD

-----

Paxum

Annual Maintenance = $44.95
Weekly transfer to card for a year = 52 x $0.25 = $13
Year of 10 ATM withdrawals per month = 120 x $2 = $240
Year of 5 POS transactions per month = 60 x FREE = $0

Total = $297.95 USD

----

Difference = $221 USD

:thumbsup:thumbsup

robwod 05-25-2015 09:06 AM

Ruth, the difference may be $221, but that's a small price to pay for good, responsive support. When the two companies are compared, in terms of support (and documentation/verification), it's not even close. Sorry.

pornmasta 05-25-2015 10:42 AM

epassporte ftw !

Never signed up for Payoneer, seems like Paxum is *much* more adopted by affiliate programs.

I just signed up to many programs this week, and most of them offer Paxum, and hardly saw a mention of Payoneer if at all.

ITraffic 05-25-2015 05:58 PM

for cams / dating payoneer is the most common.

Diomed 05-25-2015 07:49 PM

Indeed, payoneer for cams all the way.

Add another $95 so that you actually receive your card

Alexlecomte 05-26-2015 07:18 AM

Thanks Nikki, it's very cool.

I use both, actually Payoneer has deleted this 2USD fees you had to pay to receive the money.
Also, I had to operate a chargeback with Paxum recently and their bank partner is charging me 40USD ! I hate that.

Meanwhile, being able to deal with Ruth, Chris, Vlad and Octav in case of issue, this is priceless.

payoneer all the way.

greg80 05-26-2015 12:50 PM

I get paid by FFN to payoneer and do not pay anything for the load!

Ruth please explain what happens if I book a hotel using Paxum and than cancel later for a refund. What happens to that refund? Payoneer simply credits it back to my account. What happens with Paxum?

When you make a hotel reservation and provide a deposit with your Paxum card, but then you choose to cancel your hotel reservation; once the pending request has been cancelled by the merchant (hotel), the pending funds are returned to your Paxum account and become available again. :thumbsup

That would be an example of a transaction that never batched as it was pending always. Any difference when the hotel deducted funds then refunded funds as a refund?

When I make a booking with hotels.com the charge is not pending, it charges right away. I can than cancel anytime 24hrs before check in. What happens with the refund than? Payoneer simply returns to account (minus the 1% fee I think).

According to some users, your card is blocked and you go through hell to get it unblocked. Also, what happens with the money is another question. There are a lot of instances when someone needs to refund to the original card of purchase even months after the payment is made.

plaster 05-26-2015 04:17 PM

^^figured that was what you were getting at since the question was a refund and the answer was regarding a void.

Problem solved. :winkwink:

HomerSimpson 05-27-2015 02:52 PM

Had no issues with Paxum...

I am using Paxum and all I pay is 5$ per ACH withdrawal - like 30$ in total per year. There is no reason to use their ATM card unless you can't get a bank account with a debit card in your name. Just my 2 smart ass Cents :-)

Nicky 01-02-2016 10:43 AM

Both are great IMO

LetterTwenty7 01-02-2016 10:54 AM

I use both, and IMHO there is no need to go with just one. Yes, I know, Paxum has issues, but I still love their service when it is working normally.

Denny 01-02-2016 10:59 AM

I use both as well.

j3rkules 01-02-2016 12:27 PM

Payoneer rocks.

$money$ 01-02-2016 01:09 PM

Payoneer no problems EVER in YEARS that's what you are paying for you aren't paying for your card not to work every single time you try to take it to the atm, card errors on the site etc payoneer never has these issues

True, my card was shipped on Nov 12th, never received.

LatinaCamChat 01-03-2016 01:35 PM

They are not even the same service, unless all you do online is get affiliate commissions

Both have different restrictions and features that the other does not.

seeandsee 01-03-2016 02:42 PM

i didt notice paxum removed POS, great stuff from paxum

Google Expert 01-03-2016 03:13 PM

Payoneer should market to the adult biz people more.

Most of the people I do business with ask for Paxum or Paypal. So i'm kind of forced to use Paxum. But i'd rather prefer to use Payoneer more.
