What tablet should I buy?
Im tired of lugging my laptop when I travel and want to get a tablet.
I am NOT getting an iPad, its too expensive and it doesnt have flash which I need. What would you guys recommend for something cheaper but good |
Get an iPad anyways ;)
iPad :-)
iPad is one and only. Unbeatable experience.
Ive had the nook tablet, the galaxy tab and now went back to the iPad. I got the lastest one. I read alot so the display is kind to my old eyes.the galaxy wasnt bad. Laptop replacement I would look at the Asus prime they got a cool keyboard add on for it.
Fuck Ipad.
I love my Motorola xoom. Has never crashed or hung up, compatible with every web site i have surfed so far and love the aps. Seamless with my android phone as well and when I realy want to type up a storm, I use a wireless keyboard. Have used my 1 year old laptop 2 times in 6 months. |
tablets fucking suck and are stupid. buy an e-reader with liquid ink for reading
3 people replied that you should get an iPad, although you don't want an iPad.
Here's an interesting link: reviews of best 5 tablets: http://reviews.cnet.com/best-tablets/ 01. Apple iPad (March 2012, 16GB, Wi-Fi, black) 02. Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime (32GB, gray) 03. Asus Transformer Pad TF300 (32GB) 04. Sony Tablet S (32GB) 05. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (16GB) |

Ipad, yet i wouldnt mind a linux tablet
ipad though I still have no idea how it would actually replace my laptop
Anything other than an iPad.
I am to withdraw a tablet review i posted, go for Macbook air.
Got a HP Touchpad with cynaogenmod7 on it. Much better for me than an ipad. Flash support, real bluetooth, great battery life, support for any video I throw at it, fast and a great screen.
Happy with our Xooms.
A device that can't even play flash videos is the #1 pad even though there are alternatives.
That is some amazing marketing. |

I have not tried the new Ipad but stacking functionality and compatibility my Motorola blew away the previous Ipads. Notice not a single Motorola in any of their reviews. Now that is biased. I was not a tablet fan before I bought one which was only to check my web sites and how well they function. I am hooked spending a good 4 hours a day on mine. Can't even begin to say how much I like it in client meetings, classes and conventions. |

Get an ultrabook.
I couldn't travel with an Ipad only. In an emergency I'm just not fast or efficient enough on it, and there's fundamentals that just inconvenience my daily workflow. 15 minutes in the morning on vacation with my netbook would turn into an hour with an Ipad :(

Ipad3 is the best. i own also galaxy 10.1 tab and some chinese one and ipad blows them away... take it from someone who hates apple ...
The wife and I bought a pair of Acer A500 10" 32gb Iconia tabs last month. Added another 32gb with the micro SD.
Love'em! |

Let me know. |
Whatever you get isnt going to affect me in any way. So get which ever tablet you want, or comes in the prettiest box.
I'm excited to see CM9, once they add support for the cam and mic...
If you don't want an iPad my choice would be Samsung. The prices are not THAT much apart. I paid the same for my iPad 2 as I should for Samsung.
iPad or Galaxy
Just bought a 7" Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. It's the perfect size. I'll probably never use my 10" tablet again.
which is best for just surfing the web?
yay. cool.
Buy black one :pimp
I'm personally waiting for the Asus Transformer Infinity TF700.
Samsung galaxy pad. Using it now and love it. :thumbsup
I have both the ipad and the Motorola Xoom, I hate the ipad. Basically its made to work, and work one way. There is a limited number of email clients and browsers you canget for it, and the ones you can are all pay. Android has a ton of different email clients and browsers. ou can also add widgets to your home screen on android, widgets are app's you don't have to open, they are up and running on your screen. Ipad used to run smoother, but not any more, now android straight up smokes ipad. Heck even apple has started stealing ideas from android.

http://www.amazon.com/Transformer-TF...s_3063224011_2 this looks good, great price too |
IPad. The kindle fire is cheap and great for surfing.
Ipad! I have owned both the Ipad and an Android based tablet. The Ipad far superior! :thumbsup

I do not mind the tablet when traveling, or watching TV where I need to do some level of hit and miss, or minor tasks. However, when I have to get actual work done, I need a real computer. I can bang it out, with proper spelling in a couple of seconds what would take me 5 on an iPad. Each have their pros and cons. But I simply work much faster on a desktop/laptop. :2 cents: |

I also keep some original photography on it to carry with me to show potential clients, friends, etc. Better than squinting at the tiny screen on my Motorola 'droid cell, lol. |
Galaxy 7" tablet is perfect size. Been using one for almost a year now. With Teamviewer, I can access my desktop for anything. You will be happy and you won't be on the Apple teat.
