The Public Market
 

I'm about to head out to do the weekly meat and veggie shopping at the public market. Prices are usually about 1/3 what they are in the grocery stores. There's also a TON of fresh specialty stuff that you can't even buy at the local Wegman's, which typically has everything and more.

Fresh Chicken Chorizo and Honey are on the top of my list this week.

i have one of those markets a couple blocks from my house, love shopping there. Not sure about the whole saving money part.. some things sure, but it's unrealistic to expect cheaper prices than some of the bigger grocery stores. Especially in the US, you have chains that sell things at a loss to get people in the doors. Local markets can't compete with that.
