Google analytics alternatives?
 

What analytics software/service do you use?

Until now we were using google analytics, but managing 1500 domains in a non automated way makes it a bit crazy. Specially when you cannot access to the database and make a custom query.

So, what analytics software are you using?

I have been looking at Piwik and Open Web Analytics. Both look ok, but none of them convices me completely.

I have yet to find something that really works for the adult industry.. Have about the same number of domains, and the same problem here as well. Hope somebody has found a solution.

Google analytics under reports...

Piwik all the way. Screw Analystics and their horrible owner.

Piwik is good but it's also resource hungry,i recommended following tracker:

They maybe dont have some advanced features like piwik but they did amazing thing to reduce unnecessary space and cpu load-instead fully writing user agent of writing for each ip like this:Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0
they simply added number which represent browser group,so in mysql table it will be recorded as 1 instead full user agent info.
Plus on piwik you need to make table export if you want to see full browser statistic,on CT all data is available immediately.

piwik for pure privacy of your stats (but dedicate a box to it for anything with heavy traffic)

shinystat for everything else and excellent expandability.

That's basic database normalization. are you saying piwik isnt doing this?..wow..

Anyone who runs Analytics on their sites who is NOT making at least $100 a day from Adsense (and that is a REAL conservatve amount) is a fucking idiot.

Google analytics is designed to provide Google with information on whether they should actually pay your site any money for the worthless clicks you send. Actually, the whole Google sitemap, Google analytics thing is dead. Has been for a long time if you're in adult.

Why would you give Google information about your adult site when Google doesn't pay adult sites shit?

If Google ain't paying you a living wage, don't use their tools. Are you fucking stupid?

I really never liked google analytics, tried it several times across the years and I always end removing it.

Even though I'm not using the same strong language you used, I completely agree that in most cases it's a (really) bad idea to use GA.

Been using get clicky.. and it is nice.. but can be expensive if your used to free stuff or if you have a ton of traffic..

but so far Im really happy with get clicky..

I was inclined believe them, but now I'm not so sure because you're usually wrong about everything. Period.

Not sure if I should switch to ShinyStats, StatsCounter or GetClicky.

I have around 500 sites I need to track and I need to see global stats for all sites and not just individual stats. Does all of the above allow that? Does any of them allow me to just add one code snibbet to all sites (that would save me a day of search and replace lol) or do I have to add each site manually?

I talked with my host about piwik and they said a few people use it on the servers but even set up right, it would not be for me as I have high traffic sites and it would slow my servers. Which I can not have.

So still looking. Thanks for the other sites listed.

Anyone else have problems getting Piwik to work with Vbulletin?

When you go to Search Engines, it will show you keywords list!:)

I was looking at the demo they have but dont see keywords listed..
