Hacking Crakrevenue Stats. (Software Included)

One of the major issues I have always seen with the Crakrevenue system is how useless it is to analyze the information and how little explanations you get about what each one of the trackers mean, so instead of the bashing senselessly (something that is very common around here), I decided to create something to help other with the same problem instead of just destroy and complain, so I made my own research and tools in order to make more money with my campaigns, and here is what I found:

a) Crakrevenue does not count the visitors; it counts the number of clicks on your links.

This is extremely important because I have always see a big difference between GA and my Crak stats, besides that Crakrevenue generates a different tracker depending on the characteristics of the surfer; none of the support people I asked was able to explain to me the trackers, so I made my own test and here are some of the things I discovered:

MBAK = Offers that a visitor on mobile phone sees when he clicks the back button

DBAK = Offers that a visitor on his computer phone sees when he clicks the back button.

AFF = Adult Friend Finder.

The trackers are created by Crakrevenue to identify what offer are the visitors sent to and they try to make the most money once one of the visitors have clicked the link sendintg them to different offers depending the geo, the device they use and the programs you chose, but this creates an impossible mess to decipher if you want to optimize your campaigns with the information you have from the system.

b) Making sense of the data.

All the data you need to make money is there, just that it is not ?clean? or in a format where you can manipulate it in order tooptimize my campaigns I downloaded the data in CSV format for the period I want to analyse:

After that I clean all the trackers using as separator the ?_? (underscore) that is the separator crakrevenue uses to add different attributes to each visitor, once I do this I have a list of all the tracker that I have used without their information that is useless for the analysis.

I had a lot of duplicated information and that is ok, because what I was doing is just leaving the main tracker I put on my link, banner, or campaign to start optimizing them.

2. Crak use different terms to separate the type of income you can have, so I want to know what are the trackers that are the most profitable for each type of income.

Once you I cleaned of all the trackers I got a clean list of all of the, products, tours, hits, conversions, rebills, chargebacks and commissions, something like this:

This is already information I can start working with, and here are some of the results crossing the trackers and removing those who produced zero:

This table shows what trackers (source of traffic) are bringing the most money, in that way you can then start analyzing a little bit deeper in order to get better results, these are all the sources of revenue you have created in the period you are analyzing (leads, revenue share, rebills etc..)

Then there is the ?Trials by tracker? tab and it shows what trackers are generating the most profitable leads (the free trials you are getting paid for example Slutroulette, Camsfreefun, Livefreefun, etc..)

As you can see there are a couple of trackers that are generating way more leads that the rest combined, so it will be worth it to expand those, here some interesting questions to answer what programs are the ones converting the best with these trackers? Is there a specific tour that outperforms the others? The analysis is ahead.

The tab ?Conversions by tracker? shows the sales created in the PPS model, I am not big in that, and the numbers shows it:

Here the system delivers flawed information, because they just put you the number of sales you made (in this case I made 2) but they don?t show you how much you were paid by each one (this information it is correctly shown in the first table, but exported and displayed incorrectly in the conversion column.

Other important information is what are the trackers that bring you most of your rebills and your charge backs, I don?t information in these tabs since I am not into the revenue share programs and I don?t have any charge back for this period, but you can see that info in those tabs.

For those who have charge backs it is important to analyze those trackers to see what sources of traffic are less profitable, especially if you are buying traffic.

The next tab to analyze is ?Product tour commissions? in this tab you will see what tour for each product is giving you the most money, because Crak is constantly creating new tours and testing them, nevertheless the most profitable tours overall may not be the ones that converts the best for you so click on that tab and analyze your numbers, here is what you I saw:

In this segment the tour 778 of livefreefun is converting 3 times more than the other one, so I may send all my traffic to that specific tour, as well you can see that Camsfreefun mobile is converting better than Slutroulette mobile, I may hardcode the changes in my .htpaccess to make myself the redirections to that specific offer instead of accepting Cracks redirections.

The last question to answer is what sources of traffic (trackers) are the ones that are sending the traffic to those offers and those tours? You will get that info in the last tab called ?tracker product tour commissions?

If you see my numbers two different trackers are sending the traffic to the same offer (in this case Slutroulette PPL) but the results are almost 10 times bigger in one of them than in the other, I may talk to my affiliate manager and see if they can send all my traffic to the tour 1197 because that is the one that seems to be converting the best.

Let?s make the PORN industry great again!!!
