Does he have any info we dont have or is he way overly optimistic?
Was this before or after the announcement? Because he told me the same thing BEFORE the announcement.

I would not expect a quick solution for this problem. It's pretty clear that our cards will not be working ever. Visa will not activate them since they withdraw the license from the issuing bank. I think the only chance is Epassporte to find a different bank to issue new cards for us. Our money are in the bank and banks are not running away with money. Even in St Kittis.

If epass is going under and there is some conspiracy behind this, why epass is allowing users to get their funds in the wallet through wire transfers? Can't they simply block everyone like SOBV did?

I think they are having problem with VISA and they must have ignored a warning from VISA or something like that. VISA will not pull the plug this quick.

Where is the owner of epassporte? Watching his own movie because nobody else did that?

So our Epassporte Visa's won't work any more. I just tried transferring all of our money out and it too was blocked. Does anyone know why this would happen since it does not involve Visa in any way?

Do you have info that we don't have? If not, its only a guess right?

Stop guessing or just write: "I guess that our cards will not be working ever"

I was thinking the same thing about 2 hours ago... "Didn't he (Michael O) have an epassporte logo as his avatar earlier today?"

Was gonna post about it but thought maybe I was wrong. Now that someone else noticed it too, what is that about?

After so many hours of playing pretend damage control by answering questions with automatic copy/paste replies; now all of a sudden it would appear that he's trying to distance himself. Not that it would help since everyone here knows he works for epassporte, but still.

Something is seriously a muck here, and any of you who have any hopes whatsoever of this being resolved in our favor are seriously delusional IMHO. Luckily our business itself doesn't rely on epass whatsoever, but 90% of our affiliates do and those are who we feel bad for.

For many, and what many do not understand, epassporte IS their bank. It is super easy to open up an epassporte account, get a visa electron card and do business. Doesn't cost anything, no monthly/yearly fees and is far easier to open than a regular bank account. Not to mention, it's the preferred method for a reason. Countless affiliates live outside of the US and for those people, wire isn't an option most of the time (how many programs out there only do US wires? a LOT). And checks are a huge pain in the ass.. First, you have to wait weeks to actually get the check, then deposit it and wait another 30-60 days for it to clear before funds are available.

Now, I realize that a lot of the people who are calling people idiots for trusting their money with epass live in the US; and to you I say.. try looking from the outside in every once in a while. There's an entire world out there beyond the borders of the US.. try experiencing what a lot of people have to deal with before calling someone else an idiot.

I completly forgot epoch = epassporte. I rememeber when epoch fucked everyone before. Kind of like a mini ibill many years ago, most of you wasn't even around then.

As far as what Michael has said, boy I been there done that. All I heard from people is don't worry we got tons of cash, but right now its tied up. We will get everyone paid. Yeah then the last words, sorry dude we are broke we can't even pay you and your sitting there hung out to dry.

When a 3rd party crashes its goes something like this..
They loose there processing acount.
customers cards are not charged and those that was are credited back the amount charged. So the 3rd party looses that money and sponsors loose there money, and affil. can't be paid..

This is a little different, as sponsors loaded money into there acount and then transfer it to other acounts. If it goes into another bank acount to cover visa transactions then visa issues credits based on that acount, or was it loaded into a visa acount, sort of like a prepaid visa. None of of us know that one. If its loaded onto like a prepaid visa, then visa will likely release it, if its loaded into a bank acount then we are basicly screwed as epassporte will shut its doors, and will walk away with whats in the fund and because its offshore, we are basicly fucked. Like with Ibill and the many others that have went tits up before them.

I know I don't sound very optimistic, well when you have been here and seen all the bullshit from the wildwest days to today, you learn your going to get screwed over some way or another and by someone because money is involved.

Dear ePassporte Account Holders,

Please be advised that, at 12:00 PM PDT today, September 2, 2010, we were notified that effective immediately, Visa International has suspended our banking partner’s (St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank) ePassporte Visa program. The ePassporte e-Wallet program continues to be up and running, except funds cannot be transferred between your Visa Account and your e-Wallet. At this time ePassporte can no longer issue Visa Cards, and the ability for our Account Holders to make point of sale purchases and withdraw funds from ATMs has also been suspended.

At this time we do not know why this drastic action was taken by Visa. To us, it is unconscionable that such action would be taken without the opportunity for ePassporte to fully understand Visa’s reasons and to be able to take all steps necessary to keep our program running the way it has so successfully done for over 7 years. But that is what Visa has done.

As soon as we have more information we will be in contact with you.

In the meantime please be assured that your funds are safe.

We are very sorry for the short notice and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The ePassporte team is working diligently to rectify this situation.

We kindly ask you to bear with us while we work through this issue.

Please feel free to contact us via the message center or at our call center, should you have any questions, comments or concerns.

Thank You,

Christopher Mallick

It seems that epass forces you into having a credit card even if you don't want one. I've told them time and again to stop sending me messages about the visa electron card shit. I don't want one.

After this I'm going back to checks. This is bullshit.

To be quite honest, In my opinion ny and all money you have in epass is gone. Kiss it good bye. I may get flamed by some for that statement, but it's simply my opinion as this whole story sounds like a bunch of bull to me.... I see no reason why they cannot hand cut everyone a check for ALL the money you have in virtual or wallet and then simply close up. Anything short of that solution is bull shit to me.!!!

does this have anything to do with their association with online gambling rings? i recall this being an issue that was supposedly resolved but...whenever visa puts the clamp down on that ass, its normally due to not following their guidelines to the letter. you can be sure they had every right to do what they did, now that its done and no... there will be no funds recovery or recourse (based on my experience and knowledge of visa's normal operating policies).

This is exactly why I've been paid with checks for the last 4 1/2 years - always had a bad feeling something like this would happen.

I'm writing to your organization today because I'm not happy with Visa decision to suspend Epassporte visa account. I'm using Epassporte visa electron card & now I cant withdrawal any funds at all since 2 days now. I'm stuck now in Indonesia & have no way to get any money from ATM. Do you're organization realize that 100,000's of people rely on epassporte for their every day needs? I heard some people are even living on bread until this is resolved.

Again, you're not just dealing with few people, this is affecting 100,000's of people out there. Please relay this message to your Executives & give us a chance to get our money at least & not in hands of thieves.

Regards,

You would think ePassporte would at least cut the price on wire fee's in a show of good faith. Fucking hell, $50 for a wire. Even the most asshole of banks do not charge that high!
