Ontario just lost 59,000 part time jobs since the introduction of the $14 minimum wage on January 1. That's the single biggest one month job loss in Canadian history.

I guess it would hit some countries and businesses when wages are first increased, at those low rates many would carry dead beat staff. However if you look at Aus with a higher min wage, eventually it all evens out again:

What are you guys all discussing? Did no one notice this sentence out of the total of three sentences in the OP? This is a complete non-story. They let go of a tiny number, while they are hiring big numbers in other sectors of the company.
