Boston Dynamics has streamlined their American military robot (video)
I can't believe how quickly Boston Dynamics has evolved this robot it's so much more compact and it's fairly quiet and dexterous. If only their focus was sex robots and their model ways Make Love Not War

Invading poor 3rd world farmers in a country near you soon!
Boston Dynamics - the company that killed freedom...Americans are delusional if they think that the government won't use this against them one day... Enjoy freedom while you can...your kids won't for sure...

Wow!!! I love it.
And it's amazing how fast robots are evolving. Remember the Boston Dynaics Robots of a few years ago? They were big clunky boxes that ran on gasoline for fuck sakes... these new robots look slick and smart. No one killed Freedom, though Cadet Bonespurs sure wants to.

Freaking amazing!
Let's think about that for a second. The robot has to figure out how much energy is required to lift itself off the ground, how much more is required to spin it around backwards at exactly the right rate, so that it lands on its feet, absorbing any exceeds energy so it doesn't break anything. It has to know how much it weighs, how tall it is, and how much it's "knees" and "ankles" can bend. Were these valued entered by a human, or does it determine that all by itself? I'm guessing it figures it out on its own because Atlas is made to carry things for the military, so it probably has to know its own weight, how fast it can move, and how much energy is left in its batteries so it can calculate distance. All the calculation is probably fairly simple, compared to the mechanics required to actually pull it off. The little motors have to be strong enough to push, flip, land, etc etc. It has to know about its gears, tolerances, hydraulics, etc etc. I just watched it a second time and noticed that like a human, it uses its arms to adjust its center of gravity. WOW! Incredible engineering. Love it.

at best, boston dynamics will set the platform for all low skill jobs to be killed off by means of automation...at worst humans will lose all leverage they have over their government because: army of terminators...
in no way does this work out well for you but you are free to cheer on your own destruction deep down all of you know where this leads...keep living in denial if that makes you feel better...

I dont know much about this so I have to ask. Are they remote controlled or function with a program. So a target is to get into the other room and it has to do that.

seems to be the question.. i think it's partial, both programmed and remote (first part shows different bot movement for 'seeing door handle').. but the rest of it looks programmed.. i doubt anyone knowing how much that thing is worth would do it that fast
