When it was run by the Dutch it was one of the most advanced countrys (even had nuclear weapons).

After Apartheid it went through a reasonable downturn as wrongs were righted and the country took a downturn for a minute.

Their economy has suffered because of the govt. trying to force white ownership of pretty much anything into extinction as a way of payback for Apartheid.
But it's still a super rich country.

I have family there, they are used that at least once in the 1,5 year everything from their house will be stolen. All have the experience of being held at gunpoint. The white are forced out of labour and the people replacing them many times haven't got the qualifications. A niece who was marketing director was replaced by someone with 0 experience and asked her to train her new boss

Shithole countries are often the reason WHY people do emigrate to other countries. Trump is too stupid to profit from that process the same way every other president of the US has since this country started. Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses of people yearning to be free. The key word is yearning. You don?t make it out of a shithole if you aren?t seriously yearning and yearning is by far the most important ingredient of being a productive citizen in any country. Yearners almost always become earners and we are mistakenly pushing them to other destinations right now.
