-41c where I live

Tonight's supposed to get to -50c (with wind)

It's cold as hell and my furnace magically stopped working. My repairman can't come until tomorrow. I have 3 ceramic heaters blowing full blast. Almost tempted to leave the oven on and open.

On the plus side, my beer stays cold

Edit: I'm troubleshooting the problem.YouTube is giving me hope. Gonna sand down the flame sensor and see what happens.

Edit p2: Seems death will be avoided tonight, got it working. YouTube saves the day!

Holy shit. It's 6°F here and I thought that was cold! I pay extra for 24 hour burner service if my furnace stops... I'm paranoid of my pipes freezing.

Sometimes we get lucky with a milder winter, but ordinarily we get a few weeks of ultra cold weather. 6F would be nice right about now.

-41 C is coincidentally -41 F !!!

It's -26 F or -32 C here in Northern MN right now.

We had a furnace fail in the polar vortex in 2014 and I moved to tropical Minneapolis for a few years, but got lured back home.

I'm in the same spot, the gas was shut off due to a paper mistake in the 'office', they refuse to turn it back on until the 5th

Though, it was colder than the north pole, probably still is.

Being out side on new years is gonna be interesting.
