For the same reason men get fat after marriage. As other say, they get comfortable and often times their lives end up changing so they aren't as active, not to mention they get older which makes putting on weight easier.

Every single person I know, man or woman, that has gotten married (with the exception of one person) has eventually gained weight. Jobs, life, kids all suddenly fill your day and there is less time to exercise or cook healthy etc.

I've gained weight. I quit smoking about six years ago I shot up to 275. I am down to 220 and still over weight.

People have excuses for everything. I work out 30 mins on legit heavy and hard lifting in my garage, no bs gym to drive to. I have a full time job and part time on cams along with a son. I literally eat what I want due to being active most of the day and eating using IF technique.

That's MY choice. I don't care how others look - just be happy. Honestly, it's just easier being skinny and not eating a lot, which is my next move if i give up heavy lifting and being fit.

Being sexually desirable and being a nurturer are different psychological states, and maybe that has a physical component.

My wife knows that I won't tolerate having a partner not on the same page as me fitness-wise. I've made it clear to her in subtle, and not so subtle ways.

There are things she expects from me and I gladly respect that and do it because she needs those things. Like doing my part to help keep a roof over the head of our daughter.

In turn she knows I like to wake up next to a fit female body because I'm ragingly horny in the morning. It's something I need in the same way I need to breathe and she understands that.

My wife and I are the exact opposite mirror image of her sister and husband. It's not like we're killing ourselves to stay fit but they can't even do something as simple as not buying wine by the case. They also won't ask me to educate them about how to make the changes necessary to get fit. I watch them year after year go through an endless cycle of gaining 20 pounds, using Jenny Craig to drop 10 pounds of water weight, then start the cycle over again. It's frustrating to watch people you admire as being smart in most ways, but that cycle I described is one of the dumbest things I've ever witnessed. Just the fact that they turn to Jenny Craig shows they need to be educated, but I keep my mouth shut and watch them get fatter every year.
