:stop John McCain won't back Graham-Cassidy bill, likely ending GOP health care push

Good Job McCain!!

(CNN)Sen. John McCain announced Friday in a statement that he cannot "in good conscience" vote for the GOP's latest plan to overhaul Obamacare, likely ending Republicans' latest effort to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.

"I cannot in good conscience vote for the Graham-Cassidy proposal," the Arizona Republican said in a statement. "I believe we could do better working together, Republicans and Democrats, and have not yet really tried. Nor could I support it without knowing how much it will cost, how it will (affect) insurance premiums, and how many people will be helped or hurt by it. Without a full CBO score, which won't be available by the end of the month, we won't have reliable answers to any of those questions."
McCain's "no" vote makes it very likely Republicans won't be able to repeal and replace Obamacare before September 30, as Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky said he would not back the effort and Sen. Susan Collins of Maine is also expected to vote "no" on the proposal.

How Republicans say they'll vote on the Graham-Cassidy health care bill
Republicans need at least 50 votes to pass the measure under the process of reconciliation.
McCain was one of three most-watched members on the fence and considered a key vote on the bill. Without his support, Republicans would need to get Sen. Lisa Murkowski, a Republican from Alaska, as well as Collins to sign on. It's unlikely considering the fact that Collins said Friday afternoon that she was leaning against the bill and had key concerns that the legislation did not do enough to protect individuals with pre-existing

They way they are trying to ram this down everyone's throats is utterly disgusting. Their intention at this point is to is not to create something that benefits the American people, but instead all they want to do is repeal Obamacare. The majority of people who support this do not seem to know what is in the bill. Trump himself doesn't seem to know what is in the bill.

Once again, the Republicans have put themselves into a situation where no matter what happens they look horrible. If they fail to pass the bill, it makes them look bad. If they pass a bill that removes millions of people off of healthcare and takes away coverage for pre-existing conditions, they look bad too. This a no win situation for them.

It's disgusting.

Even worse, the Republican party is completely in charge of our government and hold the majority - and STILL can't get anything done.

Maybe now they can get on with the business of working together to fix the issues with Obamacare.

I don't hold out much hope for the next few years because most Republicans won't want to be cozying up to Democrats before the midterm election, but after it, especially if it goes well for the Democrats, we might actually see something. I would love for them to just pick parts of it that need to be fixed that we can all agree on and do that as a start. It doesn't have to happen in one big bill, it can happen in small parts.

Republicans will never stop trying to kill Obamacare. Never. They will not be satisfied until they wipe everything Obama did off the books. They don't like black people especially black presidents. So all you black folks that voted for tRump and the Republicans, you know you got conned right?

Oh yeah, I forgot, fuck McCain whether he votes for or against, he's still a fucktard.

The problem is their base is radical lunatics like JoushaMo26z.

Part of the reason they were trying to push this disaster of a bill is because their base is screaming at them in their home states. Over 50% of Republicans in Congress have yet to have a town hall meeting since Trump was elected because they are scared to face the deranged lunatics who voted for them.

They are pushing not just this issue, but others over and over in hopes it passes in the quiet of the night with no one looking..

The simple fact is the Republican party is not a party which puts America 1st. They are a party of corruption, greed and self service. They don't care about this country only what they can steal from it..
