Camsite DMCA is a joke

They rely on tube site affiliates to send them traffic while creating 95% of our DMCA complaints.

The models have no understanding of affiliate marketing. They send us abusive, threatening emails, while we send them the traffic they rely on to make a living.

The camsites don't do anything to prevent their models from ending up on our sites. They don't tell the models about the risk of being recorded. The models find out 6 months later when their friends/family see their videos on our sites. They file DMCA complaints against our pages, which we never wanted their videos on in the first place.

But the camsites don't care, because they get exposure and traffic when their models' illegally recorded videos end up on our sites. They don't want the models to know this could happen to them, because its part of the camsite business model; it's free advertising, and most models wouldn't join if they understood the risks. And when the models find out they've been illegally recorded and posted on tubesites, its the tubesites who get our pages DMCA'd, penalized, and removed. It's us getting threatening emails from lawyers. It's us paying people to remove the infringing pages or else our server provider will close our account. Not the camsites.

I get emails every single day from models who are freaking out about their life being ruined due to their videos ending up on my tubes. I wonder quite rhetorically what efforts the camsites took to explain to these models the risks they were taking.

Some cam sites with aff programs are very strict about this and don't allow it unless it is promo content provided by them. You are right for yourself. I have seen sites being shut down because of this kind of stuff. Have you thought about the risks of running a tube site? Have you thought you will get lots of DMCA requests, if you allow people to upload whatever the fuck they want on your site?

on most sites you have the option for models to be excluded from external advertising but the problem is most models are lazy shits and do not read...I agree that some sites abuse the free material they get from models and use it to promote their own platform but the better sites will honor models wishes...

Models are sending these notices and they do not even understand the concept of affiliate marketing... That is the main problem.

  1. Anything broadcast can be recorded
  2. If you offer stolen content or copyright infringing content you will have problems
  3. Camgirls selling their videos in downloads makes unwanted exposure (for years) too damn easy

If you post *non officially provided content* you will be threatened, DMCA'd and possibly sued -- get used to it and quit whining (or quit doing it).

The main problem is that cam sites depend on our traffic, but their models don't want to be on our sites. There's too much incentive for them to let the models end up on our sites and let us take the fall for it.

There's literally no solution for it. Cam sites will continue profiting from tube traffic while sending fucked up, threatening letters to us, every single day. Otherwise the models will leave. That's why this thread is labeled "rant". Im gonna be dealing with this shit for the rest of my life.

Hey man, no disagreements here. this thread could be summed up with "it would be really nice if camsites were proactive about explaining to their models that they're gonna be all over pornhub 6 months from now"

Your profits depend on not doing that, so models will continue ruining their lives and tubesites will keep getting 95% of their DMCA requests from camsite content. I'm laughing/whining all the way to the bank either way. But its a serious issue that most people are not aware of--including the models you're profiting off.

You seem to think it's our (the tube sites) problem that dudes are recording models illegally on your platform and posting the videos on our platforms. I think it's a problem for everyone involved--us, you, the models--but you have the means to talk directly to the models about the issues. We don't.

Your profits running tubes depends on advertising revenues.
Delete any camgirl vids that are not placed or offered by camsites.

I think the camgirls (or performers) know the risks.
Downloading videos is not too sharp -- that is how you get most your infringing content -- isn't it?

Do you punish your users who upload the webcam recordings that get DMCA'd?

Do you kick them off for multiple offenses?

Do you attempt to educate them on why they should not be uploading content that they do not have rights to?

That is where the educating needs to occur imho.

.

You wouldn't have a problem if you bought all your content from legal sources.

You are complaining about using other people's content for free with zero consequences.

The people uploading these videos understand exactly what they're doing. Education doesn't help. There's countless threads on blackhatworld that explain how to make money by re-uploading to tube sites and including links to crakrevenue offer sites in the titles/tags.

A few geniuses figured out that the scheme works better if you do it with stolen cam content than if you do it with re-uploaded videos. So now they do it all day every day. You shut their account down, they make a new one. You block their IP, they reconfigure their VPN.

They make a living like this, why would they ever stop?

I get it, I'm a tube, and I'm complaining. But after you get sad/threatening/depressing letters from models all day every day for years you can't help but start to think there's something more the camsites should be doing.

I bet i can scrape your tube and rip all the site's text and ruin your traffic -- you should do something about that -- LMAO -- man up and just do the take downs.

Do you have ANY IDEA what managing a few thousand camgirls is like -- like herding cats.
