Stay AWAY from ro89.com

Hi guys,

Just wanted to let you know that the aggregator site scammed me for $500.

Deal was simple, they requested a prepayment in order to close a traffic deal for them to index videos from my tube site. Payment was done, but videos never added, and money never refunded upon numerous attempts.

Get in touch for more information and please leave a comment if you have experienced the same with them, or similar issues with others.

Lesson learnt? Always use contracts, and never pay until the videos have been added unless you have no choice.

Stay safe guys,

FUCK RO89.COM!

True, I worked for them a couple of years ago and this doesn't sound like something they would do.

I agree it is strange but I was exchanging emails with them for weeks, and the guy calling himself 'Werner' with a belgian paypal address kept buying time by claimimg his dev was away on holiday or wtv. Ill try to check if it was someone pretending to be the owner, but honestly there's a very small chance that is the case to due a series of reasons I wont bore you with here.

Isn't that the Romanian scammer guy?
He used to sell links on domains he didn't own...

Edit:
Shit has gone wrong with that guy/domain before: https://gfy.com/20611311-post21.html

Interesting stuff, didn't find this one. Well, even if you blaim your own cs, you're still a fraud if you don't deliver. Excuses, just like I said..

So, thanks to the goodwill of paypal I managed to get my $500 back.

After almost two months of silence the guy contacted me literally one day after I got the refund, stating it was a shame cause he could not add my videos once I had opened a claim.

I hate scammers, but scammers who pretend not to be one and come across as innocent are just straight up pathetic.

Either way, glad this story is behind me.

Wishing everyone great business, and remember to check the directory for ideas and businesses!: https://adultwebmasterdirectory.com/

Peace

Thanks for this! Looks like a dodged a bullet on a domain sale.

This "Werner" chap who signs off "Wern (Belgium)" in emails actually hit me up two years ago for a domain and I just got back to him to see if he was still interested.. (need to lighten up the inventory and get some $$ flowing..)

Anyway.. he suggested Paxum which I was reluctant to go through with and advised he could do Paypal on the 20th.. (why 20th hmm.. and non-tangible goods for PP.. aha.. just asking for trouble)

I just chucked it up on the Registrars for sale page so its escrowed and kosher and he still badgering me to go through the first two options.. hmm.. did some sleuthing and believe we are talking about the same guy communicating through his Pandora ISP (he tried to advise me that as he was emailing me through his ISP email that everything is 100% above board... right.. because its 1995 and an ISP email means shit ).

I like playing devils advocate and not being so trusting.. would have saved me a lot of stress and loss in the past... thank you GFY and thank you Google overlords

Oh and.. Shameless plug: If you are after a domain check my thread in for sale page
