Will Google's new Newsfeed-powered search fuck up SEO?
While it's true that LOCAL SEO will still be useful even if Google changes user habits, what's the impact on traffic in general?

I hate that shit. I think this will backfire on Google and YouTube too. People don't like seeing "personalized" feeds based on everything you watch and telling the feed yes or no to picks us just too intrusive, or is it just me?

Or use it to your advantage with a press section / press only site about what you're doing / what's going on.

To be fair, FB's been conditioning people re the newsfeed content layout/presentation. Given all the groundwork/conditioning previously done, I'm not sure if there would be much of an opposition to Google following suit.

Considering how fast Google's been evolving don't be surprised if its algo totally ignores BACKLINKS in the not so distant future

They hate the fact that people are just passing through "google" to other websites and not staying there the entire time like on facebook.

True. It's only a matter of time until FB comes up with its own 'internal community discovery'-based search engine (instead of the social graph). Plus, GooglePlus hasn't exactly made inroads into FB's market domination.
