As I predicted. Healthcare bill = bailout and pork fest

I said a week or so ago Republicans will replace the votes they don't have by selling votes and it will become nothing more than a bailout of the insurance companies. It's happening exactly that way. This bailout and pork fest proceeds to a "un-elected third party" to decide what stays and what doesn't over the weekend. Obamacare will continue and billions more will be thrown at this huge pile of now bi-partisan horse shit.

Latest Republican health bill 'a porkfest, a monstrosity', Rand Paul says

Trump can't do anything about it. Sure he can veto it but he won't. He will sign on the line just like Obama did.

Yep McConnell is trying hard to get the moderates on board by loading up with massive pork. Even though he ridiculed Reid for the same shit. All the same in DC.

I've said it time and time again. It isn't the Democrats or the Republican's writing these bills. It's the healthcare industry in this case. In addition, you always seem to ignore the avatar I've been flying here since day 1. Trump really is the outsider and he really is under attack by the same people who will make this bill happen whether You, I or Trump likes it.

I completely fail to understand why Republicans are trying to kill Obamacare. If tens of millions of people no longer have healthcare, then it isn't a healthcare bill at all.

They're cutting healthcare and using the money for huge tax breaks for the top 1% during budget consolidation.

So if they can't take away healthcare for tax breaks, they'll make a bill that pays billions to their insurance company master's.

Get your head out of your ass Rochard. Obamacare is dead. Republicans will prop up the dead horse with tax money. It's a bi-partisan fucking.

The Trumplicans fall flat on their face, again.
Are you really surprised?
This problem will be revisited again, hopefully in a bi-partisan manner, in 2019 ...

Political fallout? I think the biggest concern for most would be the economic fallout. If government eliminated the health insurance industry it would decimate the economy and markets. If they let the insurance industry collapse because of it, the same result. So there really is no other choice. The healthcare industry knew if they could get this passed it could never be taken away unless someone suicidal got into office

You and Rochard need help. Please explain to me how the Republicans plan to bail out the Democrats plan isn't bi-partisan.

It will be revisited alright because the insurance industry will need more money.

I have stated the same thing all along. It was a bill written by and for the healthcare industry.

It not bi-partisan because there is not ONE Democrat in the US Senate supporting the repeal and replace bill.

The party of no is hearing a LOUD NO from the opposition party and from a few of the members of the Republican party also.

He did use his momentum to sell everyone on it. Yes, he is responsible for the position we now find ourselves in. It's his legacy, remember? That doesn't change the fact his plan was written by the health industry which is what I said and have always said. This plan is as well. So we can be clear from here on out. Democrats sold us on a law written by and for the healthcare industry. Republicans will sell us on a law written by and for the healthcare industry. There is no difference between the two. Only the illusion that there is.

Let me rephrase that. Republicans will pass (no need to sell what has already been sold) a modified law written by and for the healthcare industry.

This may be a scheme to be considered other than universal healthcare and new taxes.

This is a privatization of a state sponsored healthcare plan.

Point is: No one receives healthcare for "free" anywhere -- people get paid to work in healthcare fields.

The Australian System is very good, even Trump said it was better than American.

What's left out when they compare country to country healthcare is that here in Aus 60% of those over 18 also have medical insurance. Here we pay 1.5% of personal earnings and if you have insurance those fees are deductible from that 1.5%, so say your earning 100k a year, that's $1500 in medicare tax you can claim against insurance costs.

When they compare country to country healthcare, they just base the Australian on the free government care, which is not an overall view of the countries healthcare as a whole... 60% top that up with insurance.

From what I understand it will go to a 3rd party this weekend for changes. So what we see isn't what we get. They will make changes and rush it to vote just like last time.

This states mandates are to be removed but everything else mentions "penalties paid to treasury" which means it will likely remain. Probably just in another form. I scanned over something about penalty for not having continuous coverage. If I had to guess they will drop the employer mandate, keep individual and call it a compromise.

Well, there may be some silver lining in it for me; the new Roth HSA exemption is raised to $6,000 and that can be used to pay insurance premiums, I can roll over my HSA into the new Roth HSA tax free -- but if my insurance premiums increase more than about $3K a year then *trumpcare* will cost me more money in the end.

Could be a shit storm or a bump in the road for me but for 20 Million others -- they will be up shit's creek without a paddle and everyones taxes will be paying for whatever emergency treatment they get in the end.

Waste Management will be offering curbside body bag pickup for the uninsured ...

If you ever needed proof that American politicians are bought and paid for, the US Healthcare system provides it. A politician's duty is to his voters not his donors.

McCain is said to rush back to Washington for this vote. I'm now beginning to think even that was a ruse. The idea that Republicans need moderate McCain who has been fighting repeal the whole time is absurd. They need his vote because it's a bill they must pass for the health industry. The government is about to lose the Fannie and Freddie case after the recent DOJ doc release proves Obama admin confiscated the profits to pay for obamacare.

Michael Moores Fahrenheit 911 made that clear.
