on the verge of impeachment for Trump

at last, is it going to happen?

OMG, probably 90% of the world & 70% of the US are praying it could be the real deal..

House bill to impeach Trump gains momentum after Trump's feud with 'Morning Joe'

Seems many lawmakers want to create a bill to create a commission to gain a loophole to remove the president...

obviously the guy´s not doing his job! Dirty Don will still go down in history as the one that Trumped America & the dirty Don of all dons

I just read this on my smart phone - seems more Democrats have signed on.

Trump will most likely be impeached at some point, but keep in mind impeachment does not mean removal from office. President Clinton was impeached, but his offenses were hardly serious enough to cause his removal from office.

We'll see. I would much rather wait until they have an offense that will remove him from office.

Trump will go down in history as the worst US president in modern times.

Hi Gspot, could you be so kind and disclose a source of those figures or is it just a qualified guess based on your own political opinion?

Won't happen with the republicans in control. They care more about their parties agenda to destroy the USA while putting more money into the pockets of their rich masters

Bill Clinton was not impeached, that's why he wasn't removed from office. The House voted to impeach him but the Senate acquitted him. He was never impeached because it failed the full process.

The narrative he was actually impeached is just the right wing trying to claim he was. If you get impeached you get removed from office. There is no maybe you stay maybe you don't, impeachment = removal from office end of story. The Senate acquitted him.

This conversation has been debated here before....

Impeachment is the process by which a legislative body formally levels charges against a high official of government. Impeachment does not necessarily mean removal from office; it is only a formal statement of charges, akin to an indictment in criminal law, and is thus only the first step towards removal.

Clinton was impeached but acquitted by the Senate.

True. Won't happen until Dems have control of Senate or House. If they get House, the House will vote to impeachment, and Senate will shut it down, then vice versa.

The only way for Trump to be impeached AND removed is Dems in control of House & Senate. The cool thing is watching Republicans continue to back Trump, despite his behavior and shady dealings , they're destroying their party and don't even know it

Hey Gspot, there's no evidence of wrongdoing. The media has tricked you. Trump has lots of support and has been doing a good job.

For the first time, a president is keeping his promises. What's the problem?

you are right and it would not make sense while the vice president is not much better.

i think it is much better to wait the next elections because that will clean the whole bullshit up including major part of the seats for republicans.

in a regular election the reps would lose their ass.

trump strongly approval rate on january 26. = 44%
trump strongly approval rate on june 30. = 29%

trump strongly disapproval rate on january 26. = 31%
trump strongly disapproval rate on june 30. = 45%

if he is going on like that it is a historic chance to change things in the next elections to REALLY change things in US.
let´s hope that he did not start WW3 til than.

Only a non-American would still believe polls after their genius predictions in the election. Ok some Americans still do. But anyway they really have the pulse of America. NOT.. The people that put him in office aren't sitting around answering polster questions every day. They aren't the people polsters want to talk to or vice versa.

sorry i think you are just too ignorant to know the background of polls and their influence on actions.
I studied that on university what are you skills?

you still do not realize that trump won BECAUSE of the forecasts, right?

we all know that not one of the 2 candidates have been popular. hillary was also not the dream candidate of many americans but she would have been the smaller problem.

BECAUSE the polls have seen her far before trump, all this voters who did not like her but also hate trump felt secure and this is the reason why they did not vote at all.
you should also see that the last elections had such a small participation that one can say that not America has chosen but rather the stupid Americans.

believe me one thing: THAT will not happen again - people have learned from it and next time trump will not even reach 25% including his president bonus.

"While the measure has gained steam among House Democrats, it's unlikely it will garner enough support to pass. Though Democratic lawmakers say that some Republican congressmen have privately expressed interest in the measure, it still needs more support from the GOP. Moreover, even if it were to pass both chambers, the president would have to sign off on it. And if he vetoed the bill, which he almost certainly would, Congress would need a 2/3 majority to override his veto."

IMO it's better to wait until the FBI/Russian investigation has finished. Democrats don't have the votes in both the House and the Senate unless they've gotten behind the scenes thumbs up from Republicans this will fail.

Trump is an embarrassment for our country and already the worst president in US history but Republicans will still side with team politics no matter what he does, so long as they themselves aren't at risk..

It's best to wait until the dirt has been released and people are going to jail. At that point Republicans will be forced into actions and if it plays out right them dragging their feet we will see impeachment hearings during the midterms.

Impeachment hearings and Trump's staff going to jail will destroy republicans during the midterms..

Honestly I'm amazed they are ignoring this.. They might have a chance if they voted to remove Trump now then went balls to the wall with Pence and trying to do their tax reform/Obamacare promises.

They could then use Trump as the scapegoat and say look we got shit done after we removed him. With Trump in office everything will be a fight and they will get nothing done by midterms.

The simple fact is Trump in office equals constant distracton and negative attention to Republicans. Pence and the appearance of normalcy would at least give them a fighting chance assuming Pence didn't go all relgious nutter right from the get go.

I believe you are wrong.

Upon the passage of H. Res. 611, Clinton was impeached on December 19, 1998, by the House of Representatives on grounds of perjury to a grand jury (by a 228?206 vote)and obstruction of justice (by a 221?212 vote).
(impeachment of Bill Clinton)

[I]At the federal level, the impeachment process is a two-step procedure. The House of Representatives must first pass, by a simple majority of those present and voting, articles of impeachment, which constitute the formal allegation or allegations. Upon passage, the defendant has been "impeached". [/URL])

Clinton was impeached, but not convicted. Impeachment does not always lead to removal.

More predictions?

So far every prediction you have made on Trump since before he announced he was running for President has been 100% WRONG.

Really questioning your judgement by your insistence on continuing to do this.

It doesn't help you in your life in any way. And could possibly hurt your reputation in the industry as people begin to question the acumen of someone who allows his hatred to cloud his judgement.

In other words...there is no upside you making these crazy predictions. If you ever get one right...nobody will notice.
And if you keep making them and keep on being wrong it makes you look bad.

It's a no-win situation. Not sure why you keep doing it.

You need to regain your sanity and if you want to comment on politics...take issues one at the time and make educated statements.
This blanket blind-hatred stuff is making you look really bad on here.

Yeah, I was the only one there huh?

Pretty much his administration has gone exactly the way I thought it would. Six months in and he still hasn't hired all of the people needed, he hasn't accomplished anything, and he is running from one fire to another - not to mention it took less than five months to have a special prosecutor put into place to investigate him and his entire staff.

What has Trump accomplished?

You can't be partially pregnant or partially impeached.

"Clinton, like Johnson a century earlier, was acquitted on all charges." = Not impeached

The Failed Impeachment of President Bill Clinton | Wikipedia
No, he was impeached. This is not "he wasn't impeached by the Senate so thus he was not impeached". Clinton was in fact impeached by the House.

The very article you quoted says he was impeached:

Upon the passage of H. Res. 611, Clinton was impeached on December 19, 1998, by the House of Representatives on grounds of perjury to a grand jury (by a 228?206 vote) and obstruction of justice (by a 221?212 vote).

I think what happened to President Clinton here was massive miscarriage of justice. I was a full on Republican back then (under Reagan we were "going to beat the communists") but what happened to President Clinton was wrong. This would not have been allowed in a court of law. They were able to put him under oath for an investigation into Whitewater and asked him questions about his sex life that had no connection to the investigation. That was about the time when I discovered the Republican party was less about truth, and more about beating the other party.

But no matter how you spin it, Clinton was in fact impeached.

Of course it doesn't remove him from office, but if the intended result of impeachment is to render the president ineffectual and impotent, then Trump has already impeached himself. He has ZERO pull on the hill. ZERO. No one respects him on capitol hill except the extremist outliers and kooks. There's a big difference between "support" and "respect". Any congressman or senator can talk out of his ass and say he supports Donald Trump -- but it takes respect and political capitol to garner votes for your crappy legislation, neither of which Mr President has or will ever have at this rate.

Who would think the president could possibly be impeached by the Hosue and Senate, which is not only under Republican control but also can't get it's own head out it ass enough to repeal Obamacare? So even if Republicans did grow some balls and a little dignity they couldn't even organize a proper vote to get it done. They haven't done much in the last 8 years except be against things.

lol...Trump was elected to fix things so of course he is having resistance from the Washington old guard ("the Hill"). He is making Washington work for the people and he is honoring the promises he made during the election. Something the American people aren't used to which is why he is so popular.

If Congress members want to get reelected they better climb aboard the Trump Train.

He is not popular and thus he has not been able to honor but a couple of his promises made during the campaign.

That's not true.

CNN only talks about the stuff he hasn't been able to do. But the things he promised during the campaign he IS doing.

A LOT of it was REVERSING anti-business executive orders from Obama. Trump has all but erased President Obama's "accomplishments" that were hurting economic growth.

Pretty much the only two things that haven't been done yet are the repeal of ObamaCare and tax reform. He can't do that until Congress puts it on his desk. And the Republicans are now too chickenshit to do that. Oh they were big and brave when they KNEW President Obama would never sign it. So they sent up repeals multiple times.

But now that Trump is sitting there ready to sign it? They are scared. lol

Same with tax reform. They TALK a good game. But when they actually have THE guy in office who will sign it...they get scared.

The reason is because none of those Republicans really want to do any of the things they promise the voters.
Trump does.
