Trump: #AmazonWashingtonPost Pay your internet tax

Trump's misfired tweet about Amazon sales taxes - CBS News

WTF Tax the Internet?

First of all -- there is no *Internet Tax* dimwit Orange Messiah ought to know that -- or he is just talking down to his simpleton audience on Twitter?

#AmazonWashingtonPost
https://twitter.com/hashtag/AmazonWa...nPost?src=hash

Amazon DOES collect and remit state sales tax on the items it sells and ships from its warehouses where it has legal nexus. Once again -- Trump is full of shit.
Marketplace sellers are responsible for their shipments and not Amazon this has been back and forth for years.

Funny how he talks about paying taxes and yet pays none himself!

He's jealous that the founder of amazon is self made, better liked, and richer than him!

And yes the orange buffoon doesn't know what he's talking about as usual!

He is a very jealous person. He hates that Jeff Bezos is so successful and that he owns The Washington Post.
Jeff is on course to be the worlds first Trillionaire, beating Warren Buffet in personal wealth. His investment in Google of $250,000 is now worth around 3.1 billion. This guy is a real business man. Unlike Chump who acts like a demented monkey.

Maine is fucked up in a lot of ways, because of the fucked up system here you cannot be an Amazon Associate due to tax payment issues!!! Amazon cancelled my accounts about 2 years ago

Technically you're supposed to do that in every state.. It's like that in FL as well but no one does it. Also for example if I buy online from a FL company I have to pay taxes which are automatically deducted but if I buy from outside my state they don't charge.

Easy example is if I buy computer stuff from tigerdirect.com I pay taxes. If I buy from newegg.com I don't.. Now which one do you think I'm buying from?

Now here is the kicker, with Amazon, they do have warehouses in my state, but I still don't pay state sales taxes.. I've never understood how they get away with it but I guess they can claim where ever their HQ is located as their business location..

anyway, the fastest way to kill internet eCommerce will be to force websites to collect state sales taxes from all 50 states.. Only Trump would be that dumb...

You sure are ignorant of things aren't You?

Let me smarten you up...
Remember a few months ago when somebody illegally leaked one of Trumps tax returns to Rachel Maddow? You couldn't have missed it.
CNN MSNBC The NY Times and the rest were crowing about it.

And then Maddow did the big reveal on air.
And turned out Trump paid in far more than he could have.
Turned out that he didn't even take all the deductions he could have and paid a huge tax bill.

You really are blinded by hate aren't you?

now let me correct you:

1. tax returns of trump have NEVER been leaked.
what was "leaked" a re few pages of his federal tax form 1040 (and it is not even sure
if they are not leaked from himself or if they are ever been send out or even if they are
not false)

2. if someone does not use all the returns he could get means, that he did not even pay enough tax to get this return. Keep in mind the the word RETURN means that you have to pay it first before it CAN be returned.

a person who want to lower the taxes for the rich people and have a non existing "internet tax" in mind is a walking alarm signal. because this kind of tax would be paid by the normal people at the end.

but i know that will not change your support for a lying pirate.

Surprised you don't have to pay sales tax to Amazon since they have warehouses in Florida. Company headquarters have nothing to do with sales tax collection. The term is nexus. It's location. If a company has no warehouses in a state, but has one salesman located in that state making sales, then that company in thagt state and has to collect sales tax.

On Internet sales the state collects the general state rate. In reality it's almost impossible to collect the exact rate as some states have no sales tax like Alaska. But Alaska has city or borough sales taxes. Some of those taxes are only collected during non-winter months and most Native Americans are exempt. The US has thousands of sales taxes and all kinds of exemptions. In Texas, your next door neighbor can be in a different tax district. Before computers it was a nightmare. With computers it's still a nightmare. In Alabama you pay the state rate to the state. The city and county might be paid to the state, the local governments or there are a couple of private companies that collect for counties and cities.

Paying for out of state purchases are called Use Taxes. Businesses are the only ones who pay it. Individuals don't pay until they get audited and get caught making an large out of state purchase.

Yet you are doing the same thing everyday that you complain I'm doing.. did your moma give you a dindo muffins for breakfast each day?

Funny though that my 1st post was on the subject of this topic. Robbie came in, called someone ignorant in his 1st line then started whining about politics and said absloutly nothing about the subject of this topic. (this to you = argument on subject no wonder you never make any sense) I responded to his ad homnem attack by shoveling shit back at him and you don't call him out, but me instead.. You little red hats can do nothing but defect deflect deflect..

This is exactly why I don't "bother" having debates with you red hats, you guys never stick to the topic but instead point and name call then when it gets thrown back at you, you then play the victim card and whine about the other guy doing it.. Are you sure you don't have a pussy in your pants you sure act like a woman.. Gary Johnson is right you red hats are fucking pussies

I think *President Trump* should make his federal tax returns public for every year while he is a sitting President -- just like every other Presides has since Nixon (that I recall).

What has Trump got to hide?

If everything is on the level some of the rhetoric and lawsuits might diminish ...

i do not think he "should" he MUST. how else can you prove that his political strategy is not in favor of his own wallet?

HOW can it be accepted that a (known corrupt) business man is the president of a country
and does not have have to prove how this power is influencing his personal finances?

i think americans should think about a B before the S in USA - a B like BANANA

Nixon only did that for political reasons you know. Ford did NOT do it by the way. Carter also did it for political reasons to show that he was really just a Peanut Farmer and not a fat cat.

So Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Obama did it.
So SIX presidents have done that. THIRTY NINE did not.

Of course. The point is...39 President's did not no matter how you twist it. Including FDR (super rich), Kennedy (super rich) during the time since income tax was made constitutional.

It was a way for Nixon to win an election. And since then political advisers have told Presidents to do it. Trump didn't use those high paid advisers. And he won without doing it.
Get over it. It's none of your business what's on his tax return. Just that simple.

LOL. No he's not. First of all... your percentage is just something you made up out of thin air. You should be a reporter for CNN. lol

Secondly...the vast majority of people could care less about that. All they want to see is the economy growing.
And today...while you were busy obsessing over stupidity...Samsung announced they are opening a new factory in South Carolina.

1000 new jobs is what they announced.

And you guys are babbling about bullshit.
The PEOPLE of this country are seeing the benefits. The economy, jobs, trade...

It is the lowest reading since September of 2016 as output and new business growth slowed, offsetting stronger contributions from job creation and inventory building.

US Jobless Claims Rise More Than Expected
The number of Americans filing for unemployment benefits increased by 3 thousand to 241 thousand in the week ended June 17th from the previous week's revised level of 238 thousand and above market expectations of 240 thousand.

US Consumer Sentiment Falls To 7-Month Low
The University of Michigan's consumer sentiment for the United States went down to 94.5 in June of 2017 from 97.1 in May and well below market expectations of 97. It is the lowest reading in seven months as both present and future expectations declined, preliminary estimates showed. The recent erosion of confidence was due to more negative perceptions of the proposed economic policies among Democrats and the reduced likelihood of passage of these policies among Republicans.

US Housing Starts At 8-Month Low
Housing starts in the United States slumped 5.5 percent from the previous month to a seasonally adjusted annualized rate of 1092 thousand in May of 2017, following a downwardly revised 1156 thousand in the previous month and compared to market expectations of a 4.1 percent rise. It is the weakest construction activity in eight months as starts plunged in the Midwest and the South.

Thursday June 15 2017
US Industrial Output Unchanged In May

Manufacturing went down 0.4 percent, offsetting a 1.6 percent rise in mining and a 0.4 percent gain in utilities.

You really need to pay attention Robbie.

Barry, I don't know where you get your info. I'm sure it's valid.

But the reality is quite different. Trump is just now making these changes. He's been in office for FIVE months.

Since his election there has been 4 TRILLION dollars of new wealth created on the market.

His reversal of biz killing regulations just happened.

Barry...start thinking like a businessman and don't be sucked into the anti-Trump lunacy.

What we are looking for is a GDP that hopefully within a year will be at 3%...which will blow away the entire 8 years of shit we just experienced.

Read this article. It's very educational:

robbie, if you want to talk in business and economic professional matter you have to accept and KNOW those rules first.

look, economy is not something what happens from today to tomorrow - so far you are right. the reaction is always much later what finds his reason in quarter or yearly results of big companies what publish these number AFTER the given periode.

but that means that the increase of the US economy is not trump´s fault. it is a result of a longer ongoing process what have started in 2009 already.

if you just use logic and leave all political aspects or preferences out you will come to the following forecats:

1. trump fired a few million mexicans out of the country - this jobs have to be done now from americans. this americans will not work that shitty jobs that cheap and the production price will increase. that means that people who HAD a job already have to pay more for products they used to buy. if you have to pay more you can buy less and that means a decrease of prosperity.

2. american products will also be more expensive on export when the job is done by high paid workers. many many other countries can do the same but cheaper. so the exports of those goods can only be realized with government subsidies (what is again paid from the tax payer).
out of that trump makes a politic of isolation. he wants to export but he puts high duties on foreign imports. that leads to:

a. even higher prices for US-buyers
b. countries what can´t export to US will not import from there

both will kill prosperity even more.

3. an isolated america will not have influence in the world market.
all trading contracts he is doing at the moment are a pharse.

he is exporting coal to ukraine - but ukraine don´t have money.
he made a new trade with south korea - but they do not buy because it makes sense they buy it because they want the US protection. this protection is again paid by the tax payer.

all of trump´s actions are leading to an unnatural bubble. means the economy seems to be fine but because of loans they gave to buying countries - loans what they will hardly get back.

this bubble also will lead to higher interest rates - what looks on the first view good for the rich americans with money. but here you forget HOW the way out of the financial crisis was financed.
it was financed by cheap loans on consumer goods. the us households have one of the highest per head dept in the world.
higher interest rates will higher their monthly costs again and that will kill even more prosperity after a while.

so on a medium term you will see what happens with the US economy.
trump is a business man without any moral. he was only able to run his own businesses with the life of partners and cretitors what he did not pay back.

now he in in a position to destroy a "company" what is not even his own. when he will run in in bankruptcy he will personally don´t lose a cent. on top of that a country is NOT a company. you can not say i do not make a deal what is not profitable. you have to take care everyone in a society - not only one group.
this is the hardest part for a politician because it will ALWAYS end up in compromises and trump is unable to work with that.

you do not believe it now - but in one year you have to believe it because than you can see the damage he made and it will take america DECADES of hard work, tonns of sweat and a lot of blood to fix it.

you can not compare a society with a business because you as a small part of this engine will be the loser. remember my words: the day will come when you guys have to pay for this historical error. and than you will be glad to have the society because even the ones who saw that problem will help you paying it back. but i hope you remember than that the really guilty have been you and all this brainless trump supporters who do not want to open their eyes for the reality.

Amazon DOES collect and remit state sales tax on the items it sells and ships from its warehouses where it has legal nexus. Once again -- Trump is full of shit.
Marketplace sellers are responsible for their shipments and not Amazon this has been back and forth for years.
Barry you're wrong they are not required to charge state sales tax any place they have a 'legal nexus' They have actual warehouses in several states and the ONLY two I've ever heard of that you must pay tax are NY and CA now. They introduced bills to tax internet business specifically. There is no formal way to make any internet company charge sales tax currently on the books. NY and CA passed specific bills to do this. It will tell you on checkout if you bother to look "sales tax is included for NY and CA residents living inside NY and CA."

You are wrong, Amazon Direct (sold by) charges me MI sales tax but some of their marketplace sellers do tax but most don't. So, I have to compute what Use Taxes are due.

On top of that; sales of food, nutritional supplements and books are exempt from Use Tax in this state -- I actually have to sort that crap out for my tax returns.

I assume they have some legal nexus in this state or just agree to be the sales tax collector for the state. I am not going to risk a state tax audit over a small amount of money ... render onto Caesar ...

I just lose more money in time and aggravation figuring the crap out than the tax liability itself -- 30% of my purchases from Amazon are exempt. Amazon has a CSV dump of your orders but the marketplace sellers' information is in the wrong fields and in some cases incomplete.

Anyway WTF is an Internet Tax?

That was my point -- what a ignorant Twitter rant ...

Amazon

Amazon charges sales tax in all but 4 states that have sales tax. Amazon has huge warehouses all over the country. There was one in southern Kansas but it has closed.
It was so it could ship to states with more population and avoid sales tax. Now that it collects tax almost in every state, it is building 2 huge warehouses in Edgerton KS and Kansas City KS.Both are close to Interstates and rail hubs. Both will employ over 1,000 workers.

States are tough on nexus. Even an employee who just regularly visits a state creates nexus. It's more than just sales tax a company has to collect, it also creates am income tax liability. Also if a company has offices, showrooms or warehouses there's personal property tax on all equipment.

Exactly. Bezoz is a real businessman who built up from nothing. Trump inherited a few million dollars, and conned his way into making more.

What I think is happening now is that Trump lost everything in 2009, and borrowed money from the Russians. I bet that if you add up all of his debts, his net balance is in the red for hundreds of millions of dollars.

Oops you're off there. Trump has paid taxes. Rachel Maddow showed a few pages of a really old tax return that shows he paid something like $20 Million way back when.

I forget the story, but I think since then, he has paid little or no income tax. He had some kind of major loss on a Casino and uses that loss to pay no taxes. Something like that.

The big question around Trump now is that he won't reveal is current tax returns. I have no idea what he is hiding, but its probably YUGE.

Really?
Both are great business men on a level that nobody posting here (including you and I) will EVER be on.

Come on Mark. You should know better than to spout stupid rhetoric. Trump is not a guy who "inherited" millions.
It's documented that he got a one million dollar loan from his father when he left from his dad's company and started his own.

And the things he accomplished are incredible. He basically built a big part of the modern Manhattan skyline.

These discussions are just ridiculous when you make statements that are false and just designed to make yourself feel better.

Let me remind you since you suddenly lost the ability to google it up:
Maddow "revealed" that Trump paid $38 million in taxes on a net profit of $150 million

And effectively paid a HIGHER tax rate than Sweet Baby Jesus Obama did.

It was a huge embarrassment to Maddow.

As MSNBC's Rachel Maddow prepared to air President Trump's tax returns from 2005, 11 years ago? who fucking cares?

Who knows if they are even real? They were mailed to Maddow by an anonymous source.

Those deductions would have allowed him to pay just $5.3 million in federal income taxes that year if not for a quirk of the tax code called the alternative minimum tax, which targets high earners with big exemptions.

With the AMT, the Trumps ended up owing more than he had withheld, meaning they had to pay nearly $2.3 million in additional taxes with their return. The return shows they paid more than $88,000 in penalties and $68,000 in interest for under-withholding

Google that

You just parrot half-truths. Either you are very gullible or think we are your inferiors and very stupid.
