Republicans want to expand govt again...
They want to create a new branch of the military that operates under the air force called "Space Corps"..
Legislation for 'Space Corps' Military Branch Introduced By House Armed Services Committee Smaller govt, less spending, lower taxes..

I read this the other day, and it makes sense really. It's only a matter of time before our military will be required to operate in space.

I might be missing something I dunno but this move seems like a good one to me. This Chinese "anti satellite" weapon destroyed Russian satellite "debris" in 2013... so... Russia has "killer satellites" that change orbit to destroy other satellites and stay intact to complete multiple missions.
