Austrian lung specialist Professor Friedrich Bischinger, who also contributed to the study, said research show people who pick their noses are healthy, happier and probably better in tune with their bodies.

"Eating the dry remains of what you pull out is a great way of strengthening the body's immune system," he said.

"Medically it makes great sense and is a perfectly natural thing to do. In terms of the immune system, the nose is a filter in which a great deal of bacteria are collected.

"And when this mixture arrives in the intestines it works just like a medicine."

when I was in austria there was this guy clemens who used to eat his boogers...it was so strange he had acne just on one side of his face, and he used to pick his nose and eat during class...it grossed me out so much I forbade him to sit in front of me, he always had to sit behind me so that I would not be forced to look...

I had a friend at school, he took his boogers (and others too) and he was making this little figures out of it, put them in the fridge so they can be harder, and display them in his room.

There was a guy in high school in my classes on the row farthest back that sat and picked his nose, I remember he looked at his catch for a moment only to put it under his bench. No extra nutrition for him.
