Republicans failing again to replace Obamacare..

This time it's the Republican moderates who won't agree...

GOP on verge of losing health care vote - CNNPolitics.com

These guys are pretty much useless, they can't even agree on something they all agree they hate..

They want it so bad...they can taste it. I mean they can taste killing Obamacare. The whole "helping people get healthcare" thing is barely a secondary goal.

Aren't they defunding Obama care in the budget to make it, as they say, "explode?

I think they're trying to decide how to make their insurance company masters happy by taking new pre existing condition customers of the table, to accept affordably for the average person. Either they defund Obama care then later say "we can't afford to accept pre existing condition customers" or have balls and vote them out. When was the last time you've known Congress to have balls?

They are trying to make Obamacare fail so it becomes to expensive for people to afford. This is how they help the common man, they make it too expensive for him to get health care so he dies early and can't collect social security.

Win win! Red hats will applaud!

Notice it's only red hat states that are having issues with Obamacare. It works just fine in blue states and even Alaska. States that put effort into helping their people get insurance Obamacare works fine..

They can't pass it because there are cocksuckers on the REPS side that don't think it's harsh enough and if they add this Mcarthy amendment none of the moderates will sign it

I'm getting tired of winning now

Trump was right, I'm going to get tired of winning because we're going to be winning so much
I guess if the competition is Republicans VS America, America is winning

They need to be careful about what they wish for. They might just get it.

In fact, no. To avoid a government shutdown last Friday they gave that idea up and committed to funding it.

The only real alternative is Universal Healthcare administered by the state or federal governments along with biting the bullet on new taxes to pay for it.

Otherwise the only result will be a continuing dog and pony show.

Do one in the morning and one time in the evening...and you will not care if you can pay your premiums... Just do not tell them you have a proststate ( pre existing condition) she did not tell them she has breasts ( same issue)...then you will be fine.

It's not complex. It's that Trump is to stupid and the republican congress had all these years talked about replacing obamacare but never had a plan in place. They ran their mouths and lied as usual

The logical thing would be to fix obamacare, but their wealthy donors and the insurance companies don't want that!

Something that's always puzzled me and the UHC/single-payer proponents never seem to explain, how is it going to be paid for?

US Federal Budget for 2016 shows $2.99 Trillion in revenue

Rate Limited
Quote:
The U.S. government collected $2.99T in tax revenues and spent a total of $3.54T in its 2016 budget, resulting in a deficit of $552B that year. The deficit was 3.3% of its total GDP of $16.5T in 2016.
The total healthcare spending in the US (2015) $3.2 Trillion

https://www.cms.gov/research-statist...act-sheet.html
Quote:
NHE grew 5.8% to $3.2 trillion in 2015, or $9,990 per person, and accounted for 17.8% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
You are talking about more than doubling the federal budget, more than doubling everybody's taxes.

Bernie wanted to tax wealth at 90% to pay for it but that would only trigger a wealth exodus from the US.

So what am I missing?

The irony of this is that the result is red states, their base, will die younger and be less healthy. In the long run this is good for American democracy. It's a shame red state voters are so blinded by hate hate & demagoguery that they cant see common sense.

The only way we will be able to pay for a singer payer system is to either raise taxes or cut spending to major things like the military. Of course, we could do some of both.

On the federal level it's being funded for at least another year. However many of the Republican led states are trying to fuck it up at state level. It's the reason why in almost every case where people complain their premiums keep rising or there is no competition.. it's because it's a Republican state..

The states that took Obamacare & ran with it are doing just fine and dandy.. granted single payer would be a better option but in states that took Obamacare to heart they aren't failing..

Conservatively, costs to the overall economy would be $200 - $300 billion less a year. Right now medical inflation has exceeded the CPI "From 1990 to 2011 medical inflation has exceeded the CPI by an average of 3.3% annually" http://www.nrlc.org/uploads/medethic...utpacesCPI.pdf

This is how private healthcare has profited off the American public.

Little out of date but it does illustrate the point -- we are getting screwed over. You can argue the cost of care all you want ... This is about some profit cost cutting and the restriction of the increases of costs.

Healthcare is NOT a partisan issue it is a public interest issue.

Aren't you one of the morons that said Obamacare was based on Romneycare?

But is this because the healthcare industry is ripping us off or because we sue everyone we can?

You're missing the part that a good chunk of that $3.2T is already being paid by you (premiums, deductibles, co-pays) or your employer (premiums, etc.). Thus, in an ideal world, while your taxes would go up so would your income, since you and your company are no longer paying those fees. Getting the currently uninsured treated at lower cost facilities (doctors office, urgent care) versus a high cost ER or disability would also be economically beneficial.

This seems to be the case in California. It's amazing. I took healthcare I already had, which was great, but now I am just paying a lot less for it.

No one here where I live complains about their healthcare.

So this is the third attempt since Trump became president? When are they going to realize ACA isn't going anywhere? So fun watching them manufacture their own Waterloo.
