Trump :" US Consitution... It?s really a bad thing for the country.?

Trump now blames his failures on the US Constitution and our checks and balances. He calls it anarchic and a bad thing for the country..

"He blamed the constitutional checks and balances built in to US governance. ?It?s a very rough system,? he said. ?It?s an archaic system ? It?s really a bad thing for the country.?

Trump Blames '''Archaic System''' in Congress for Lack of Legislative Progress

He starts off complaining about filibusters then goes on to complain about the rules congress have to follow. Nothing at all about a judge or judges. don't make shit up..

"You look at the rules of the Senate, even the rules of the House – but the rules of the Senate and some of the things you have to go through, it's – it's really a bad thing for the country, in my opinion. They're archaic rules. And maybe at some point we're going to have to take those rules on, because, for the good of the nation, things are going to have to be different.

You can't go through a process like this. It's not fair. It forces you to make bad decisions. I mean, you're really forced into doing things that you would normally not do except for these archaic rules."

The rules he's talking about are the rules set forth by the Constitution to require checks and balances in our system, ie separation of power by the branches of govt. He's mad he can't just bark a bunch of orders and then they do it.... ie.. The govt is not a business and Trump has no fucking clue what he's doing. Trump is way over his head just like all of us non red hats warned from the beginning..

Waiting for him to sign an EO to re-write the Constitution, only Trump could be so dumb to try to try that.... This is why we don't elect idiots to power, because they always think they are smarter and better than what they are..

Yeah we're a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC
The bad news is that any entity ever actually running us is privately held

Meanwhile I learned my lesson once and for all what good it ever does to care at all about anything so fuck everything

Crockett it looks like could be right on this one even though I'm told we generally don't agree on political muckery
Don't get me wrong I'm well the hell aware of the fact that we weren't going to survive more bushes and clintons and etc forever , and , Trump- win lose or fuckup, he woke everyone up like no one has in any of our lifetimes
To me he's been our only hope finally
Even if he doesn't do well

But when you have someone talking this kind of talk that doesn't seem too good, to me. I have to actually agree with Crockett, on this, I suppose

I really don't understand why I can't stand you from what I've seen lately, Crockett

Trump has no idea how our government works. Other than Schoolhouse Rock taught us, most people have no idea how bills are started and becomes laws.

This is where Trump fails. Trump is used to a business setting where it's him and other person or him and small group of businessmen who all want to do business with him. This is not how government or politics works. With government and politics, half of the people are against you from the start, and the with the other half they are not always fully on board. Trump thought with the Republicans in charge he would be able to do whatever he wants. This is obviously not the case.

Trump didn't seemt understand how big this job is.

Perhaps you should read about the Standing Rules Of United States Senate. This is located in article one, section five of the US Constitution.

You should educate yourself about these things.

Of course Robbie is here to make excuses and be an apologist. Funny, how he used to claim Obama was a muslim and not born in the US. How Benghazi was practicality planned and carried out by Hillary...

Someone should tell him we have a constitution so we don't have happen to us what happened in Turkey recently...but Trump probably likes the new Turkey dictatorship, otherwise he wouldn't have called to congratulate Erdogan on his "victory".

Honestly, it's hard to even know one way or another WTF goes on in Trumps head when he says stupid shit like this. I mean I like to think he doesn't mean it in a since as he'd like to be a ruthless dictator..

I tend to think he's just this fucking ignorant of how our govt works. I think Trump really thought being the POTUS would be easy. I think he thought he'd just come into office, tell people to do shit and they'd do it.

I also think he's ignorant enough to believe he knows what's better than our founding fathers. He's a typical spoiled rich kid who got where he is with his daddy's money and no one ever told him no.. Any trouble he ever got into he could always buy his way out or sue to make it go away..

He thinks he's some sort of genius because he's lived a life of scamming other people and using his privileged life to get what he wanted. He should just stick to what he's good at.. dodging the draft, not paying taxes and fucking his investors..

Turkey has a secular constitution. Atatürk did that -- that was my point.

The Wiemar Republic (Post WW1 Germany) had a constitution too

I've said this before...I don't think there's a lot of thought that goes into what comes out of his mouth.

First of all, he has a bad case of this...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logorrhoea

The other thing is that he only says what will get him through the next 10 seconds of his life, with no thought about how it will impact himself or others in the future. Not even 5 minutes into the future. It only takes a fraction of a second to compute the possible outcomes of saying something stupid, but that's not in his DNA. It's really horrible DNA by the way. Not only is he rotten on the inside and has a repellent personality -- but he's also not easy to look at. He's a fat slob with a mystery on his head that no one can decipher. Yes, even his hair is a lie. Everything about him, from what he says to how he appears, whether intentional or not is dishonest. He's the purest definition of a filthy, rotten to the core scumbag.

What do you expect from someone who can't pass anything even though his party has control of both houses. Instead he has to use EOs. Trump only cares about making himself and the elite more money

He wants to be a dictator but that pesky constitution is getting in his way!

No. Trump was not talking about the Constitution. I watched the interview. He was referring to Senate RULES that the Senate themselves passed over the years. They are called PROCEDURAL rules.

You are so out of touch with things it's scary.

The Senate has created rules and added them in over the decades. (Like the Filibuster rule that Harry Reid removed..and Mitch McConnell expanded to get Gorsuch approved).

The Senate had even changed the rules on a Filibuster (and since you did NOT watch the interview you don't know that Trump brought that up and discussed how they don't even actually have to do a Filibuster anymore...they made rule changes so that all a Senator has to do is say he WILL Filibuster and that is the end of it).

No, Rochard...Trump never once mentioned the Constitution. He very plainly spoke of Senate rules that have been put in place over the last decades that cause the Congress to be inefficient.

The willful ignorance of reality in order to feel good about yourselves is astounding to me.

For you Democrat snowflakes...your arguments would actually be so much better if you would just tell the truth and show some knowledge.

For instance...The Wall. I think it's the WORST idea ever. Makes us just like the Soviet Union and the "Berlin Wall".

I simply don't want to be "walled in" and think it's a horrible, horrible thing.

But Democrat politicians? The EXACT same politicians that voted FOR a wall in 2006 (Hillary, Schumer, Reid, Pelosi, etc) act all hypocritical about it now.

Want to stop the wall? Then quit whining about illegal immigrants supposedly having Constitutional rights (they don't) and start waking the American people up to the fact that we are going to build a wall and be just like the Soviets in the Cold War.

Walls not only keep them out...but they keep US in.

See what I'm saying? You snowflakes are going about this all wrong.

He campaigned on wanting to change things for the better.
He has zero ability to change Senate rules...that rests with the Senators themselves.

I personally think Trump is correct in his assessment.

Look at the last 8 years...Pres. Obama couldn't get anything done either.

The procedural rules that the Senate made for themselves really are a bad thing.

Par for the course for politicians.

Then why do these kinds of threads with lies and distortions get posted here daily by soft, bleeding heart snowflakes?

Why not just HONESTLY discuss the policies that are in question?

That would be so much more effective than these posts that are so blatantly false.

I've been thinking about that alot. I think the problem is real-time fact checking, and the general format of conversations.

Here me out:

When Trump or any other politician is asked a question, they tend to ramble on for a few minutes and inject a few other ideas, points, talking points etc into the answer. A real time fact-check is impossible or almost never done.

When a politician gives a speech, there's no real time fact checking. Yes new agencies will point out errors a day or so later, but by then its too late.

When you and me and everyone else talk on GFY there is again no real-time fact checking. This combined with the injection of other subjects, idea or opinions usually lead to arguments and at least a couple of tangents off of the main topic.

What I think we would have to do is come up with a different way of talking. For example, sticking absolutely to a single subject. Keeping emotion and opinion out. Limiting the statement to 1 or 2 lines. Backing up those statements with citations etc, in an attempt to drill-down to the root-core of an issue, and to get an absolute answer.

In order words, I think the format of the conversation has to change.

You and I know GFY mostly opinionated assholes like me and you ;) shooting off our mouths followed by frustration when no one understands us. This, plus the obvious truth that most people believe what they believe due to emotion over actual facts, makes this form of conversation ineffective.

This is the problem with our country right now. We are completely and utterly divided. What is right or what is wrong is no longer important; It's about what someone's side believes in. The people who believe in their side and only their side do not begin to understand the basic truth of what is happening.

Trump is horrible. He has been in office 100 days and has not accomplished one single good thing. Oh, he removed us from the TTP but that was a horrible mistake - we now have no negotiating position at all being as the TTP still exists, just we aren't a part of it.

What slays me is how some people talked about how bad things were under Obama, but now suddenly believe in the matter of three months everything has turned around. We a 4.6% unemployment rate when Obama left office - That's not because of Trump. Please don't tell me now the numbers are suddenly wonderful.

Funny how the democrats are putting down Trump when Trump is actually getting some things done.
See they don't like that. It doesn't fit into their agenda.

Promises kept

· Trump imposed a hiring freeze on the federal workforce, with the exception of military, public safety and public health officials. While he promised to do this on day one, he implemented it Jan. 23. The freeze expired on April 12.

· Trump signed a ?Two-for-One? regulation executive order, as promised, that would require agencies to eliminate two regulations for every new regulation passed. This was another item Trump promised for day one, though it slipped a bit.

· Trump signed an executive order to impose a five-year ban on White House and congressional officials becoming lobbyists when they finish work in government.

· Trump signed an executive order to institute a lifetime ban on White House officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government.

· Trump signed a presidential memorandum notifying a withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

· Trump ordered a study to identify and investigate all foreign trading abuses.

· Trump granted approval for the construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline, following through on a vow to move forward on energy infrastructure projects.

· Trump nominated, and won confirmation, for a successor to the late Justice Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court, Neil Gorsuch.

· Trump signed a bill to extend the Veterans Choice Program to deliver on a promise to give veterans the ability to receive public VA treatment, or see a private doctor of their choice.

· Trump signed multiple executive orders to create new task forces to fight crime and drug cartels.

· Trump directed Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to order embassies to increase scrutiny and security checks before issuing visas to ensure new screening procedures for immigration to the U.S.

· Trump signed ethics policies to ?drain the swamp? by making it harder for people to profit from their time in government.

· Trump ordered departments and agencies to identify wasteful spending on programs and asked for recommendations for potential improvements.

*Many of the above items were promised for day one of Trump's presidency, but not completed until later

Promises broken/No action taken

· Despite Trump?s promise to cancel visas, on his first day in office, to and from foreign countries that do not allow criminal and illegal aliens back into their countries, he did not follow through. China, Jordan and India do not take back criminal aliens.

· Trump promised to propose a constitutional amendment, on his first day in office, to impose term limits for all members of Congress. No such proposal exists.

· Trump promised to get rid of gun-free zones that exist at schools and military bases on his first day, but gun-free zones still exist.

· Trump promised to direct the secretary of the Treasury to designate China as a currency manipulator, but Trump changed his mind and said China is not a currency manipulator.

· Despite his promise to cancel billions of dollars, on his first day in office, in payments to U.N. climate change programs, he did not. Trump?s budget proposal does cut funding for climate change programs, but it doesn?t stop funds that have already been approved.

· Trump promised to save and protect Social Security and Medicare, but there haven?t been any changes to these programs.

· Ending Common Core was among ?first 100 day? promises, but it still exists.

· Trump promised to increase funding for local police programs, but no additional funds have been directed to those programs. In fact, under Trump?s budget proposal, local counterterrorism programs would see cuts.

· Despite his promise to have the ?great, big, beautiful wall? fully funded, and paid for by Mexico, the plan to fund the U.S.-Mexico border wall is unclear, and Mexico has denied any suggestions that it would pay for the construction.

· Trump planned to enhance penalties for those who overstay their visas, but current penalties have not changed

· Trump promised to appoint a team to create a cybersecurity plan within 90 days, but there has yet to be a team appointed, and no such plan exists. Trump also promised to have a full report on hacking within 90 days, but no such report exists.

· Trump promised to ban foreign lobbyists raising money for American elections, but no action has been taken?it is already illegal for foreign nationals to contribute money to American elections.

· Trump continues to promise to speed the approval of life-saving medications, but the administration has yet to address this.

Working on it

· Trump vowed to secure U.S. borders to eliminate illegal immigration, and while unlawful crossings still exist, the volume of these border crossings has dropped significantly in the first 100 days.

· The administration has yet to sign a bill to repeal and replace ObamaCare as vowed, but they?re working on it. The first Republican health care plan failed to get the support necessary to even take it to the House floor for a vote. Republicans are now considering new legislation, but it has not yet been slated for a vote.

· Trump promised to begin the ?very, very, very fast? removal of more than 2 million criminal illegal aliens. In March, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said they arrested 21,362 since January.

· Trump issued executive orders and signed Congressional Review Acts to roll back Obama-era policies, but did not cancel ?every unconstitutional? executive action issued by Obama, as promised.

· Trump vowed to cut funding for ?sanctuary cities,? which has not yet happened. Attorney General Jeff Sessions warned the cities that funding would be cancelled if they resisted federal immigration law and enforcement?but a U.S. judge blocked the executive order.

· Trump promised to begin building the U.S.-Mexico border wall in his first 100 days. Construction has not started, but Customs and Border Protection have requested and received bids from companies interested in building the wall

· Trump attempted to suspend the Syrian refugee resettlement program and suspend immigration from terror-prone regions by signing two ?travel ban? executive orders. The first order specifically banned Syrian refugees, and targeted seven predominantly Muslim countries for a 90-day suspension of entry to the U.S. Federal courts blocked the order. A revised version is still tied up in the courts.

· Trump signed an executive order to roll back Obama-era coal leases in an effort to produce ?clean coal,? and has signed an order that could lead to lifting restrictions on offshore drilling.

· Trump?s budget proposal directed a massive increase in defense spending, as promised, but did not eliminate the defense sequester.

· Legislation to establish a mandatory minimum federal prison sentence for those who illegally re-enter the U.S. after a previous deportation has been introduced to Congress, but has not passed.

· Trump is talking about a $1 trillion infrastructure package, but nothing has been implemented yet.

· Just before the 100-day mark, Trump announced a plan to renegotiate NAFTA.

· Trump also announced the blueprint for a tax plan just before his 100-day mark, which the administration says would provide "massive tax cuts" for the middle class. Congress must still draft and debate an actual bill.

Hey head dumb dumb, signing EO'S is not getting things done.. Most of those thing have to be written into law by Congress..

It is rather fitting you are praising Trump for signing EOs while you called Obama a dictator for signing EOs..

Why the sudden change???

Btw, your list looks like a copy and paste from Imarethat.Com. obviously nothing you could put together with your own thinking skills..

Also, he hasn't filled any of the hundreds of positions in the agencies who will get the work done on those "orders" --- and that's IF (a big fucking IF) congress can actually get their act together and actually pass laws when they can't even agree amongst themselves about anything.

I didn't even mention the push back he's going to get on things like the butchering of environmental regulations, which will make him do what he normally does when faced with opposition -- buckle like a cheap fucking belt. He only talks a big game.

The desired end result of these executive orders in most cases will probably never happen and they're as worthless as the paper they're printed on.

But don't tell that to the dumbasses who make a list out them like they actually mean something.

If by Dumbasses you are referring to the people that are blocking every nomination and slowing the process to the slowest it has ever been ( The Democrats ), then I would agree with you! LMAO

Why are you so fucking dumb that you have to comment on things you never research?

According to Politco Trump has 556 key positions that still need to be filled and need Senate confirmation. For 470 of those positions, Trump has not yet even nominated someone.

For those interested, here is another story about the lack of positions filled by Trump including the fact that he has yet to even nominate the people that would be in charge of carrying out his immigration policy.

Most of those nominations are not made by the president, but by the person the president nominates.

Democrats are doing the same exact things they whined about with the republicans during the Obama administration.
