Your article is a month old, the current count is 465 no nominee, 26 awaiting nomination, 40 formally nominated and 25 confirmed.

Again, several of these nominations are not done by the president. He nominates those that fill those posts that are under them~!

So why isn't Trump nominating the correct people so that these positions can be filled? Back when the Republicans were filibustering every Obama nominee you went after him for being a bad leader, but I don't see you saying the same thing about Trump's administration for not even nominating the people needed to carry out the wave of executive orders he is signing.

First off, Obama didn't have that problem when he was putting his cabinet in place.

Second, it wasn't about Obama using executive orders, it was about using them badly. Most of Trumps executive orders have been to reverse the EO's that Obama made that didn't make any sense to him. You know, some of those stupid regulations that hurt our economy?

According to the Seattle Times there were multiple Obama cabinet nominees including the head of the EPA and Labor Secretary that were blocked and filibustered by the Republicans. Also included in that was the Commerce Secretary. That story also talks about how the Republicans used mountains of paperwork and other tactics to delay some of Obama's nominations.

Oddly, I don't recall you criticizing them for this.

I'm sorry, did I criticize that here, what I said was that the democrats are do exactly what they whined about when Obama was in office, making them hypocrites. And your article is from where? They are not taking into account the long delays that Trump has to put up with to get his cabinet, Obama got his in a lot faster

I am not taking the democrats side here. What I am pointing out is the hypocrisy of the Republicans. They obstructed and filibustered like crazy, to historic levels, against Obama and Democrats complained loudly. I never once heard a Republican condemning what the Republicans were doing. On this board, you and others were actually blaming Obama and saying this was a failure of his leadership. Now the situations have flipped and the Democrats are doing exactly as the Republicans did. Now Republicans are pissed and condemning the Democrats. Where was this anger at obstruction before?

You also make it sound like Obama had no delays. Let's look at the numbers.

Here is a chart showing Trump's cabinet and how many days it took for them to be confirmed once they were nominated. The longest was 96 days. He has a couple in the 80-day range and some in the 70-day range. I won't deny that the Democrats are dragging their feet on purpose.

However, here is another chart that shows Obama had three different nominees take over 100 days to get approved with one of them taking 161 days. The Republicans are not innocent when it comes to delaying things because they are not in power.

The only blocking Democrats are doing is all of the villainous shit Republicans are trying to get away with...which is basically everything they do.

Republicans only try to block things that help people or support rights. The only rights Republicans want is the right to bear arms, and the right to discriminate against anyone who is not them. That's what your heroes stand for.

And when it comes to the cabinet appointments and administration agency personnel, of course you step in and show how misinformed you are. Before you came in here you probably weren't even aware of this....

Help wanted: Trump administration still has hundreds of jobs to fill

All Trump cares about is the sizzle, which is the main basic spotlight cabinet appointees -- but there's a lot of cogs in the gears that make government turn and about 90% of those cogs haven't been taken care of yet. But the aim of Bannon was to dismantle government so I guess they're doing good.

Learn some shit before you try making points. The cabinet/administration vacancy is not something you're going to hear about on Fox news, but from where I get my news it's been talked about a lot and the gravity of the problem is stressed in a very big way. There's no one on watch right now. The United States will get caught with it's pants down because of the clowns who conned their way into our government.

Hey dip shit, the republicans won because the people voted for them, get a fucking clue, they are tired of the bullshit that the democrats have been doing with the economy and the epa and wanted change. So pull your head out of your ass and stop listening to the news companies that told you Hillary was going to win in a landslide and stop with the villainous labeling, that shows right there what a fucking idiot you are and that you can only see one side of shit, pull the democrats cock out of your mouth!

The long dates for Obama were long after he took office, let's try to compare apples to apples, shall we? Lorretta Lynch wasn't AG till 2015.

ofer crap's sake can we just bring back dueling at least for the political class?

At least that way we can be voting on some fresh vacancies and just maybe put a dent in this shitty "two party" lock they have on the power structure.

I am profoundly tired of this same stale old partisan arguments that we keep having every time the government changes hands.

I just love all the whining just 100 days in, Trump is doing or trying to do what he campaigned on. In other venues, I argue with conservatives, even my dad who is a staunch Republican.
I will say one thing, I knew the democrats would hate the day the republicans would use the nuclear option against them, seeing how they invented it! Shows how fucking stupid they have been and why they have lost all control in the government.
Going to be interesting during the mid terms when they lose more senate seats.

He's just a dumb tool.

Truth is, I just made him look the fool too many times and that's how he handles it. Tries to paint me as the bad guy instead of admitting he was wrong. Now I just troll him when he posts in my topics because I know he reads my posts but can't reply as he claims I'm on ignore.. Trump either underestimated how hard it would be to be President, or didn't understand the complexities of US law, or lied to you and every other Trump voter during the campaign trail, or all of the above.

I wouldn't count on it. Dem's were too lazy last time. I expect, I hope, every Dem in the US will vote during the mid-terms. One good thing Trump has done is wake people up. I Expect (I hope for) a huge Dem takeover in 2018, and impeachment of your boy a few months after that.

Not to mention Republicans have cheated the system for the last 15 years to get to this point by gerrymandering the fuck out of states. Many of those states the gerrymandering has been deemed illegal because it was done with racial bias..

Basically we have the Republican party who has lied & cheated their way to success and Vendillza approves of that while calling Obama in the past a dictator, Muslim & Kenyan..

People like Vendillza are a waste of air and certainly not worth wasting anytime debating. He's like Robbie but 100 times worse, he doesn't have a open mind to debate with he will just lie in order to win an argument, but most time he's so stupid it's easy to spot his lies.. but he goes on and on with them..

Saddly it will take years to undo the political bigotry that has taken over the right wing in this country. All you have to do is look at people like Vendillza to show how obsessed they are with it.. They will pollute many generations below them..

Dem's were too lazy last time. I expect, I hope, every Dem in the US will vote during the mid-terms. One good thing Trump has done is wake people up. I Expect (I hope for) a huge Dem takeover in 2018, and impeachment of your boy a few months after that.
On the budget...what I keep hearing all the analysts (and I admit I have ZERO faith in them...but they are all we have on the news) say is that this first budget is something that is pretty much already in place.
A new President never gets to put his ideas in at this point into the budget.
Having said that...Trump actually DID get some things in it, and also showed that he is willing to compromise with Democrats (as he said he would when he campaigned).
The true test of Trump's "strength" with Congress will be his first real budget that is 100% under his administration. Will he be able to get Republicans on board with him even though he is very liberal compared to Congressional Republicans? Will Democrats stop voting 100% against him even on issues they agree with?
We'll find out in a few months time.
Also...today on the news they are saying that there has been a big breakthrough on "HealthCare", and that they will vote it this week.
In my humble opinion, they should simply make it illegal for hospitals to price gouge us and charge U.S. citizens 10 times what the same procedures cost in other country's (also prescription medication). When you look at you hospital bill in the U.S. and see that ONE Tylenol costs $10...you KNOW you got screwed on the bill.

Dems weren't "lazy" Mark. They voted. Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan Democrats voted Trump.
That's why the DNC is trying to block anything and everything that Trump wants. They want those Democrat voters to come back home.
I think they are going about it the WRONG way.
I think that instead of working to obstruct Trump...they should instead be working on becoming the party of the working man again. Do positive things instead of negative ones.
The Dems should get out in front of the Republicans and fight for U.S. jobs alongside of Trump. Make the Republicans look like the ones who aren't wanting to help them.
The Democrat Party has allowed themselves to LOSE the mantle of champion of the working people.
To a blue collar steel worker or a union auto worker...the Dems look like all they care about are gay people, trannys, and illegal immigrants. That is NOT what you want your core voters to see in you.

The Democrats need their voters to vote Democrat once again. And it is possible they would...IF the Dems start doing positive things instead of negative.
Trump is no Republican. And he could care less about the Republican Party. Hell, he burnt that bitch down in the primary.
But Schumer and Pelosi are pushing him into the arms of Conservative Republicans. They need to be pulling him over to their side.
Trump has flat out stated he is NOT conservative and that he is a pragmatist.

If I were in charge of the Democrat Party...we would be siding with Trump and proclaiming that WE are the populist party...not the Republicans.
Trump would eat that shit up and the Democrats would stand a great chance of winning back the Senate and Congress.
It would be a "win/win". Jobs, prosperity, and the Dems back in power.

But of course it won't happen.

Nothing to do with the General Election or losing to Trump.
That would be her NOT campaigning in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan and having no message for people other than "Trump is bad" and "We are stronger together"

The John Podesta (her campaign manager) emails showed that her own campaign staff didn't even know WHY she was running for President.

Terrible candidate. And she lost to a guy with a big personality and a positive "can do" message.

I consider myself a Dem as you know (ha!), and even I would call us lazy. According to CNN, 2016 had the lowest voter turn out in years. I was POSITIVE that Trump would lose and I suspect that lots of Dems were so sure of this too that they didn't bother to vote.

And there was a lot of people up and arms over this and I fail to understand why.

We had two candidates - One who wasn't a Democrat and no one knew who he was, or someone who had been a Democrat for forty years, with forty years of Democratic history, holding multiple positions in government as a Democratic, with a massive base.

Of course the DNC wanted Clinton to win. She had forty years of history with the DNC.
