even better ....
https://www.palmerreport.com/opinion...arplanes/2223/

Quote:
The U.S. military knows full well that the only way to disable an enemy air force base is to destroy the airstrips. Otherwise, the enemy can simply turn around and launch any undestroyed planes, or quickly bring in replacement planes and launch them. The only reason the U.S. military would have carried out such a pointlessly ineffective attack last night is if it was ordered not to take out the airstrips.

Recommended reading: The Plot to Hack America

Why would Donald Trump have insisted that the air strips at the Syrian base be left intact? The only plausible explanation is that Assad and Russia wanted it that way, and Trump wanted to keep them happy. CNBC is reporting that the U.S. did indeed tell Russia about the Syria attack in advance (link). And in turn the Washington Post is reporting that Russia had S-400 surface to air technology in place in Syria which could have shot down the Tomahawks (link) – but Russia declined to use it last night.

Since when does the U.S. carry out big and bombastic military action that has no intention of doing any real damage to the air base it’s targeting? And since when does Russia sit back and fail to defend its own close ally Syria against a military attack it knows is coming? The most logical theory is still the same one I settled on last night (link): Vladimir Putin knew the U.S. attack on Syria would be harmless because Putin orchestrated the whole stunt. what a funny discussion here.

germany was the only country in the world what really DID something for the "poor civilians" what are worth an airstrike now and the whole world laughed about the "german idiots".

now even trump seems to see the tragedy of millions of civilians who just do not want to be on a place where bombs and poison are present 24 hours per day.
last week the same trump said he want to keep assad - now he is bombing him.

is this a president as you want him?
say one thing and doing the opposite?

this crisis in syria is not a crisis between syrians and syrains (@ crocket: has also not much to do with a US army base) - it is a war around a country what is the most important one to deliver oil and gas with pipelines to the european market.

if you investigate a bit about the "nabucco pipeline" you will know a lot more about this war and understand that this is a pure economical war.

i.e. katar (what needs this pipline to deliver theri immense gas ressourses to Europe) financed the syrian rebels since 2012 (when iran and russia got the rights on it)

so in this war is team A: European Union, USA, Katar and Saudi Arabia
which supporting the rebels (and thea re are additionally supported by the al-nusra front and ISIS !!!!!)

and on the other side team B: the alawite-shi'ite Assad regime supported by Russia, shi'ite Iran, shi'ite Hezbollah and shi'ite forces in Iraq

all of them just want this pipeline and tell the whole world bullshit about the reasons of this conflict.

that trump is changing his mind has the reason that he is partner of the saudies and would have an enourmus private advantage when this pipline could be used by them.

so there is a big difference in that when you look behind the curtain - the human factor does not play ANY role in it.

Syria is the same problem as Saddam's Iraq -- a minority led government that represses the majority.

But if the outcome is the same in Syria that we have in/from Iraq -- it is just jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.

Syria does not have substantial oil resources -- Iraq does. Syria is a transport (pipeline) route to the Mediterranean. The Russians are responsible for their client's actions e.g.; Assad's use of chemical weapons. The need to heel their dog.

this is not completely true - it is not ONLY the pipline what would have to go through syria:

Quote:
Syria has petroleum and natural gas resources and encourages them. According to experts, the developed oil reserves amount to about 2.5 billion barrels.

As far as the EU embargo against Assad in mid-2011, 90 percent of the Syrian oil exports went to Europe. Until 2009, Syria was the most important oil supplier in Germany in the Middle East, ahead of Saudi Arabia. Syria has so far maintained its own natural gas in its own country.

But at the end of 2012 the Norwegian company ANCIS has now found 14 more productive oil and natural gas deposits in only 250 meters of test drillings off the Syrian Mediterranean coast. With the discovered natural gas, it would be encouraged, could Syria to the world-wide fourth place of all natural gas exporters

So basically Trump called his buddy Putin to warn him, Putin warned Assad, we dropped $100 million in missiles, Assad had very little damage, and twenty-four hours later the same exact fucking planes from the same exact fucking airport dropped more bombs on the same exact target where they used the chemical weapons.

The ONLY thing that happened here is we spent $100 million.

Not only. Many interests here.

List of chemical attacks on children in Syria

March 19, 2013:
More than two dozen people, including several Syrian soldiers, die in a sarin gas attack in northern Syria. The government and rebels each blame the other for the incident.

Aug. 21, 2013:
Hundreds of men, women and children are gassed with the banned nerve agent sarin in an attack near Damascus. The U.S. blames the Syrian government.

April 2015
Syrian groups in Idlib province say barrel bombs containing chlorine were dropped.

August and September 2016
Hospital officials and activists in Aleppo say chlorine gas is used in attacks.

Feb. 28., 2017:
Russia and China veto a U.N. Security Council resolution authorizing sanctions against Syria for chemical weapons use.

April 4, 2017:
An attack on a rebel-held city in northern Syria kills at least 86 people, 27 of them children. Autopsies on three Syrians who died after being brought to Turkey for treatment suggest sarin was used in the attack.

Putin, Iran and Hezbollah issue joint military statement.

Face saving?

Quote:
BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:50 P.M.) ? The military operation rooms of Russia, Iran, Hezbollah and other allies have just released a new joint statement. This joint statement was spurred on by US aggression that saw the country strike the Shayrat Airbase in rural Homs with Tomahawk missiles.

The statement released in Arabic states that the allied operations room recognizes that the US is supporting the separation of northern Syria and Iraq from their respective states.

Point seven of the statement details how all US military are legitimate targets as they have crossed every red line possible and operate illegally in Syria. It then emphasizes that the joint military operations room will respond strongly to any aggression and any violation made by the US in Syria.

I'm really trying to figure out what your dumb argument is here. Are you trying to help prove Syria was using chemical weapons? I'm assuming those canisters are what Syria uses to hold various chemical weapons. I'm assuming the top picture is a picture at some point from the past where they were dealing with chemical weapon disposal..

Next we see a guy standing next to the same containers that seem to be empty or at the very least secure and not leaking..

How does this help your argument? Do you realize "empty" containers means the weapons were likely used, showing us proof that yes Assad did have chemical weapons at this airport?

Did you think this one through? Congrats you just proved the case that Assad still had chemical weapons!

Also.. The chemicals wouldn't be in those containers just "floating" around in a gas state. It's pretty obvious those containers are built to hold "shells" or the chemical agent in a second container inside that one. ie the warhead tip that would have the chemical agent inside.. Notice those containers have "handles" on the tops, that's because what you are looking at is just a storage container. The warhead chemical container would be inside that, which is why the tops (lids) have handles.. They take the lid off, get the warehead out when ready to use..

Those were either all used and empty, which "more" is evidence Assad has been using chemical weapons or none of the containers were breached.. Regardless as long as they were not leaking or were empty, of course they would be perfectly safe to be around.. It's like standing next to a nuclear bomb.. 100% safe until it blows up...

Seriously are you dumb? Those containers are 100% proof that Assad was using chemical weapons and that "Russians" knew he was using them..

A joint command center made up of the forces of Russia, Iran and militias supporting Syrian President Bashar al Assad said the U.S. strike on a Syrian air base on Friday crossed "red lines" and it would respond to any new aggression and increase its support for its ally.

The United States fired dozens of cruise missiles at a Syrian air base on Friday from which it said a deadly chemical weapons attack had been launched earlier in the week, escalating the U.S. role in Syria and drawing criticism from Assad's allies including Russia and Iran.

"What America waged in an aggression on Syria is a crossing of red lines. From now on we will respond with force to any aggressor or any breach of red lines from whoever it is and America knows our ability to respond well," said the statement published by the group media outlet Ilam al Harbi (War Media).

Trump's "massive action" amounts to just a little squirt from a lip dick -- and just turns up the rhetoric to divert from the domestic problems. Here we go again (maybe).

?Amid the missile strikes, it is hardly reasonable to talk about any more increase in the risk, as the risk has increased considerably,? Mr. Peskov said at a news briefing.
