Star Trek 5: Why does Spock threaten Kirk's life?
Here's a good one for you Star Trek Fans:
Towards the end of Star Trek 5, when Kirk is the last one on the planet surface and is having lighting 'eye bolts' zapped at him from the fake God of Sha Ka Ree, the Klingon ship arrives and blasts the fake God to pieces. Then, the laser gun turret turns and aims at Kirk. Kirk then screams out: "So it's me you want you Klingon bastards?! Well, what are you waiting for?!" Then is beamed up to the Klingon ship. The Klingon general (that looks like Scotty in Klingon drag) introduces his 'new gunner' and Spock swivels around in the gunnery's chair. So we know it was Spock that shot down the Sha Ka Ree alien... But, why in the hell did he point the guns at Kirk? Was he fucking with him? I didn't know Spock had such an evil sense of humor. |

I personally find it hard to 'find fault' with movies like Star Trek, when the premise is already so utterly absurd, that it requires total suspension of belief from the first moment of the movie anyway.

Ask him! I bet you can stump him with that one. Vulcans do not have a sense of humor, and even so, not an evil sense of humor like aiming an armed weapon at the Captain.

It's probably just for dramatic effect. It's a fake bit of tension put in place by director Shatner, and has nothing at all to do with the story, or even an outtake.
I've seen all the Star Trek's dozens of times. Star Trek 5: The Final Frontier is by far the worst one. Bad writing, bad direction, bad scripts, low budget, bad VFX. The only part of that movie is the voice of "God"; the sound designers did a great job on him. Played nice and loud with a good subwoofer and wow, he sounds great. PS: I loved Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Yes it has its problems, but wow its beautiful. Wrath of Khan is great of course.
