Nobody gives a sht about Trump's wiretaps
holy sht...CNN treating this wiretap claim like it's the end of the world. nothing else in the news, but trying to make Trump look crazy.
OF COURSE he was wiretapped. wouldn't you WANT him to be as well? Since he was our next incoming president. Our intelligence agencies must know everything he was doing at that time, since he was about to take the highest office in the country. How friggin idiotic is CNN to think he wasn't wiretapped? it's mandatory for incoming presidents to be wiretapped. (well, it's mandatory ....but their suppose to tell the public "nothing ever happened") Yes, HE WAS WIRETAPPED. End of story. next , what else is on the news ? Why else do you think the FBI immediately made a statement right after trump made that tweet? They should of remained professional , quiet and said nothing, but they couldn't help but orgasm because Trump spilled the beans that he wasn't suppose to. |

Trump is learning a lesson he badly needs. What he says matters. He is the President of the United States and he accused a former POTUS of wiretapping him and suggested Obama was up to Watergate level shit. Yes, a sitting President accused his predecessor of doing something that caused a previous POTUS to step down in order to avoid being impeached. And he did this with ZERO proof.
He has to learn that when he opens his mouth, or Twitter, people are going to take him at his word. If he insists on spewing bullshit, making things up, and just flat out lying, it isn't going to be very long before people stop taking him seriously and he sabotages his own presidency. |

I agree what he did was stupid, but what CNN is doing is even stupider. Trying to fool the public that the wiretap never happened. (CNN is all about protecting our intelligence agencies....the whole network was practically bought out , behind the scenes when Obama was still in office) Do they really think the public is this stupid? that if they continue with that serious tone 24/7 all day long...that the public will eventually think Trump is crazy and it never happened? lol @ CNN. Literally 24/7 coverage....nothing else is news to them. |

The President of the United States mis-read an article, assumed what he thought it said was correct, and then made some very serious accusations on social media. This is bat shit crazy. The President of the United State, the most powerful man in the world, is spitting out false accusations.
The President of the United States cannot lie on social media. Ever.

I agree. It feels like he thinks it's a reality show. If something bad happens, he deflects by saying or doing something else. Then he gets caught in his bullshit because now he is POTUS, not just some guy who can choose to say "no comment" and he and his people end up spouting shit that makes it seem even worse.

Trump is an example of our failed legal system. With all the laws Trump has been found guilty of breaking and thousands of lawsuits (starting in the 1970's) he's never faced criminal charges only civil charges. Now that Trump is POTUS things are different and I'm enjoy watching him suffer and learning the hard way. |

CNN is not an arm of the CIA that is trying to brainwash you. They are business trying to make money off of you. If talking about Trump's wiretapping claims draws in viewers, that is what they are going to talk about. That people are watching them and talking about the wiretapping issues shows that people do, in fact, care about this issue. You are free to not watch CNN. If you really think CNN is colluding with our intelligence services, then simply don't watch CNN that way you won't be affected by their propaganda. The public doesn't need CNN to see if Trump is coming unhinged, they only need follow him on Twitter. |

The "wiretapping" fiasco has served it's purpose over the past 10 days because it's drawn all of the attention away from Russiagate. I think Donnie can milk a few more days out of it by moving the goalpost, like he did today. You have to give him credit for being a master of subterfuge. Deceit is a trait that's encoded so much into his DNA he does it like a monkey flings poo. It's just instinct.

Their parent company contributed a lot of money to Hillary's campaign. They were embarrassed by their own sneering and laughing "reporters" who turned out completely, 100% wrong in the worst way possible. AND...since they have went completely and openly anti-Trump biased and dropped all pretense of journalistic integrity and neutrality...their ratings dropped hard and fast. They are way down in THIRD place behind lowly MSNBC these days kane. So NO...if they were operating as a good business should, they would be reporting the NEWS. But they don't. And it's costing them millions and millions of dollars in ad revenue as they have lost hundreds of thousands of daily viewers over the past year. I'm surprised that Time/Warner hasn't already fired Don Lemon, John King, Erin Burnett, and whoever is the head honcho of the news division there. They desperately need to get back to reporting the news. Nothing wrong with reporting that Trump made the claim that Obama had him under surveillance. Hell, they were reporting that his people were caught on wiretaps for 2 months as they were trying to push the "Russian" story as hard as they could. And that's where the problem is. They choose whatever Trump decides to Tweet this week...and that's ALL they talk about. No news. Just "panels" having a "discussion". It's like watching "The View". Totally ridiculous. That is why America is tuning out of CNN in droves. Just google this: "CNN ratings" And then start reading the results. It's a business nightmare for Time/Warner Or google this: "cnn ratings decline" No...they have an agenda. And Time Warner seems willing to lose money to push that agenda for whatever reasons they have. |

Simply google this: "cable news ratings for 2016" Fox News won it handily AGAIN. They were even the number one cable channel of them all: Rank network p2+ 2016 1 Fox News Channel 2.48M 2 ESPN 1.91M 3 USA Network 1.68M 4 TBS 1.59M Again, I don't know where you found that graph. It's not correct. You can also EASILY find 2017 by googling: "cable news ratings 2017" "Top cable news networks in primetime (total viewers): Fox News Channel, MSNBC, CNN, CNBC, HLN, FBN." CNN is STILL in third place...badly. It's unwatchable. Especially when you can flip to FNC or MSNBC (except when they are doing their talk shows like Fox's "Hannity" or MSNBC's "Rachel Maddow" shows) and actually see news reports from around the world on real news stories of importance. On CNN...they do that "BREAKING NEWS" graphic every 5 minutes. And it's either a Trump tweet, or some Senator said somethng derogatory about Trump to get face time on the news. I can remember a few years ago, if CNN was on and they did a "Breaking News", you called everybody into the living room to watch it because something BIG had just happened. Someone important was dead, we were going to war, etc. Now, as I said, it's "Breaking News" after every commercial...and it's always the same anti-Trump drumbeat. It's boring and non-informative. That's why their ratings are tanked. |

And yeah...that's the way it's SHOULD be. I was pointing out that their parent company has abandoned that basic business principle to push their own agenda. You were implying that the anti-Trump ad nauseum coverage was drawing in viewers and making them money. I was just pointing out that "no", it's doing the opposite. I would admire them if it was making them money. I always look up to success. |

1. They simply aren't sure what to do. Just reporting the news doesn't draw in ratings so they have to have a slant and they haven't figured one out yet that can help them increase their ratings. 2. They don't care about making money and are just pushing their agenda. 3. They think they are doing the right thing and that if they just stick with it the ratings will eventually come. I guess there could be combinations of those as well. All I was trying to say is that CNN is a business, perhaps a poorly run one with an agenda, but still a business and they are not the CIA as the OP implies. |

You told people to search for CNN ratings decrease hhhmmm I wonder what results for what years would come up? Searching CNN ratings gives 2013 reasults , a bunch of Russian RT results and right wing propaganda sites. Why would right wing propaganda sites be stuffing the top SEO positions for CNN ratings Robbie? Fascism |

But in business and life...even 2nd place kinda sucks. 1st place is where they USED to be. And these days, they aren't even a news organization anymore. I tune in and it's never the news. I'm not kidding. You can't find ONE actual news hour on CNN. Not one. And when it's not Anderson Cooper or Don Lemon or Jake Tapper hosting "Panels" which are nothing more than talk shows...then it's "CNN Movies" (which I kinda like) and their series on the different decades (which I kinda like too), or the Anthony Bourdain Parts Unkown series (which I also kinda like). The point is...NONE of it is news. The movies and series should be on a different channel. And the rest of the programming is all "talk show" with panels. Go ahead, tune in right now for a few minutes to CNN. Tell me what you see. And then try it again randomly. You'll see what I mean. I always watched CNN because they were a great news source in the past. That has changed now. Just watch it for yourself and tell me if you see anything other than a glorified talk show with a "panel" every hour on the hour. |

You do realize that it's easy for everybody here to simply google "cable news ratings" and see that you are lying and acting stupid. Fuck man. I'm gonna have to give you an "F" on this trolling. You need to re-evaluate your life if this is what it's come down to...being a "personality" on a message board. |

He resigned because of pressure put on him based on the Watergate scandal and the things that came from it. Sure, wiretapping directly may not have been the reason, but it was one of the first cracks in the dam that ended with a flood.

Looks like a full time job here for tRump defenders. Busy, busy, busy every day because the orange buffoon delivers the goods like clockwork. It's not really about the wiretap claim is it? It's about the lie. It's about making shit up without the inconvenience of facts.

Trump lies or in some cases just makes ignorant statements without bothering to check the facts first then he refuses to back down from them and it puts his staff in the position of having to defend him. It's like trying to explain to your new girlfriend that your uncle really isn't a crazy racist, he's just eccentric. |

To follow that up for you:
https://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/sum...?id=D000000094 Notice that ALL of their contributions went to Democrat candidates. Then realize that the bias of CNN comes from the very top. |

And a little more from you about the parent company of CNN:
"On the liberal side, the biggest outlier is Time Warner, which has favored Democrats and progressives with 75 percent of its contributions. Time Warner CEO Robert Marcus has made big contributions to Democratic candidates and super PACs, as have executives at rival cable company Comcast. Some have speculated that the companies were hoping to curry federal favor in advance of the failed Time Warner-Comcast deal, which needed regulatory approval from Uncle Sam. (Ironically, the deal failed precisely because the feds blocked it.)" |
