Youtube rewarding promoters of piracy...

This guy happily getting an award from youtube for uploading all the videos which step by step explain how to illegally view content via Kodi on multiple platforms...

OK So Kodi exists and piracy exits and I get that. It just seems weird to see him happily unwrapping his award and letter of thanks from youtube based upon his video upload history...

The times they are a' changin...

you know man, i havent watched his videos much, but kodi is something like windows. he is only pointing out what kodi can offer, he is not sharing and lists or so. so, all is legit imho, and guy is clever for choosing interesting topic

edit: oh sorry, i see now, he is directly showing how to use iptv from whole planet, paid tv channels, so yeah, this is a kind of strange, that channel have to be deleted, and not honored ...

Youtube was built on piracy.

Youtube relies on piracy everyday for the latest news, many viral hits, TV shows & movies.

Yes I agree. It just seems a bit strange though.

I wonder if I put up a series of videos on how to steal different cars, circumvent their security systems, bypass immobilisers etc etc if I would get an award from youtube?

I mean piracy is one thing but illegal is illegal, so while I understand youtube allowing piracy to take place, I still find it curious that they allow this guy to put up 100s of video that explain step by step how you can do piracy yourself in your own home... Then reward him for it

i dont think so, because people do not want to steal a cars, people know it is crime, but people do not know that watching paid tv for free is crime also what is online is for everyone, not like locked doors of your house have luck everyone

Again agreed - However youtube know its illegal. Thats kinda my point. I'm not saying he shouldn't make the videos. I'm just saying that I think its ludicrous for youtube to reward him for them

Youtube needs to keep cultivating New generations of uploaders so they can keep banning them, while benefiting greatly from their free service. See how that works?

The new generation is so used to seeing whatever they want, whenever they want, nobody has taught them that thousands of people have to work for free to capture and upload that stolen content

And what's the payoff? Lots of fake accounts thanking you, liking you, and following you. No actual money, that's for Youtube only

IMO what he is doing is informational and not piracy. He shows what can be done.

What most of you guys are saying here is: close all the chemistry channels on youtube because people could learn how to cook meth there.

Should youtube close all bomb making channels because people could learn how to make bombs there?

Stealing things beyond media is getting more popular.

If Amazon can stop shoplifting in their new stores. They will rule the retail world. And mom and pop stores will disappear. Unless they can put everything behind the counter.

After my DMCA person got the run around from the Youtube thieves, this went out of my office recently.. The movie was gone in less then 24 hours !

Quote:
You guys are something else !! Please stop reading bad script, use your brain and think !!
It does not take much brain power to look at your own pirated link https://www.youtube.com/watch?xxxxxx

....to see the head credits where you find me ! and my company XXXXXXX !! as producers of this movie. Further, there is a clearly defined copyright logo of XXXXXXXXX at the tail end of the movie credits. The movie was registered at US copyright office 25 years ago, you can also determine this from the tail credits as well as from something ssooooo simple as IMDB: (an Amazon company, your thieving colleague !)

imdb.comxxxxxx

All that would be a lot easier and quicker then responding to your stupid and ridiculous requests for us diggiing out 25 year old copyright certificate. That is nothing but wasting of our valuable time and filling your useless one !

Further, it will take even less of your brain power to determine that the movie is exclusively licensed to Warner Brothers and you are therefore stealing their content. For now I am going to be reasonable and ask you to remove the film and finally stop supporting thieves !! Failing that, you will likely hear from Warner's Brothers attorneys.

Sincerely

Xxxxx
Sometime getting pissed off helps with these monotones...;)

Post script : Warners license expired some time ago, I guess the idiot robots at Youtube did not check after all.

Nope. We started by filming content and putting it online to members because the DVD market was too high an initial cost to goto market and blocked out by a bunch of old timers.

Start a site and put online for $2k and get the money back in a few days max then the rest is pure gravy, vs $15k or more to get a single DVD to market and not get money back for months, if ever.
