Some of the Cam Girls provide preview photos for when they are not online. I sometimes use these and have never had complaints. We are pushing traffic to their account, so they make money, I make money, and Chaturbate makes money. In theory, everyone should be happy.

They are not clear about this point.. or better they pretend everything is ok until you get complaints and then shut down your account because you do not respect TOS. I would like to get a clear statement from them and if using images those girls have on their social accounts can be ok.. when you post on social network you basically authorize everyone to use your pics.

Oh, Chaturbate closed your account for using pictures?? I am yet to see a post on GFY about Chaturbate closing account because of use of model pics. But I could be wrong. Perhaps someone from Chaturbate could clear this up for us?

Mohawk Steve , why you have at all a feed? You know when I gather feeds I ususally store images on my websites because I do not want to give links out to an unuseful images server ( that can bring down pictures anytime) . In the end you should have a list of girls who does not care of being PROMOTED ( AKA MAKE MONEY) by webmasters so that we could send those girls more traffic and not waste our time with those issues . My 2cents.

What about the image and the text content of the feed? Are we not allowed to store that at all? If not there are tons of Twitter accounts, Tumblr sites and Wordpress sites that are violating this policy.

They also get an edge because they get models deeplinked on their sites. If we are not allowed to keep any of the content in the xml feed then zero models should be deepllinked unless they are on the chaturbate.com domain or if sites have permission to post the model (which im willing to wager the majority of affilates don't have permissions from the thousands of mdoels posted on their site).

I really wish you would make this abundantly clear in the api section of the affiliate area. The statement above is pretty nebulous. Can we or can we not store the image and the text content provided in the feed on our websites? We know you can't scrape screen shots and record the video (most people who do this don't even use the feeds) but can we store the text and image in the feed?

You are not allowed to store the thumbnails on your server, or anywhere without permission from each individual broadcaster.

You can post the live feeds, however nothing in the feeds can be stored or published. There is no gray area. Do not store or publish anything from the feeds except the live feeds themselves.

Broadcasters may choose to appear in live affiliate feeds while not allowing affiliates to store and publish their content.

I was told by Steve that if there was ever a complaint, it would be okay as long as we complied. So if we get DMCA'd, you must remove. Best practice is to ask the model first.

I remove them every time. That being said those who don't adhere to the "no publish" policy get an edge because they can deeplink models.

Guys you can use the feed , you can NOT store the images on your server . If the girl opt out from the feed you will have a nice broken link on your website/blog . Thats all , also consider the images on the feed are quite bad . They should just create a list of girls who want to receive promotion.

I haven't got around to blogging about cams.

I'm still promoting on twitter and building my database via the api feed and optimizing my pages for SEO.

When I think of it though, with the sheer amount of cam brands, popular cam usernames (female, couples etc) and cam niches (I discovered the 'sissy' cam niche the other night) I don't see blogging as being an optimal way of spending my time promoting cams for the foreseeable future. It's an SEO lover's dream.

It's clear when it comes to promoting cams that building a relationship with individual camgirls is valuable.

In a way the cam performers are our customer, more than the cam viewer. By helping a camgirl with her promotions you will start getting other camgirls wanting you to help them too. You and the camgirls will benefit.

You certainly have to think differently than when promoting a traditional porn video sponsor.

For example, I'm enthralled by the newbie camgirl. The ones with 18 people watching. They must me excited and eager to get their name out there. They are the ones ripe to agree to being promoted I think.

On my whitelabel I have the play button on the video and it starts playing, on my embeded chat room I don't have a play button nor it is autoplaying..

Does anybody experience the same with the API chat rooms?

quick update...



16th - Ended up with 6 on when I was guessing 8 but I ain't complaining

17th - had only 2 but one of them was my first signup from the header menu on PornHero.com so that was exciting

18th - was busy all day working on other things so it was nice to see 5 come in on their own - I love the power of the internet to keep doing work for you while your gone


I now have 2 solid cam accounts on twitter that are growing every day on their own. I am going to build @PornHero next.

I will be busy the rest of the month with offline events including court , my parents visiting and my birthday so I wont get much chaturbate work done.

I also noticed that straight guys spent much more money for cams than gay guys (not a big surprise, but maybe worth to mention it)

All traffic is not equal! I can send 100 people to a camsite and half will buy tokens because they follow me for a long time and want to support. They have become friends!

Just an idea but maybe you can try to niche? Like build a Twitter account with followers who have a fetish like foot, or large breast or even gamer girls, gothic... etc.

Good point about the traffic source. People who were enjoying free tubesite porn videos may not buy tokens at the same rate as people who sign up through a paysite members area.

Considering most of my cam traffic is coming from twitter and my network, I think 4/day is a good clip to start.

But what I would like to know from the people making $10,000+ a month with chaturbate is: how many registrations a day do they send on average?

The worst ratio I have ever experienced...
But I'm not a professional when it comes to email marketing... I guess "Professionals" could make much more out of it.

You promote via email? that's interesting, I was thinking about harnessing the power email as well to promote chaturbate.

I know Chaturbate does not allow affiliates to send email traffic directly to chaturbate but there must be a way to use email to promote when a camgirl goes online.

Ok so taking your numbers an example for end of year 2015:
$8259 commission/ 3427 total registrations = $2.41/ per registration per year.

$2.41 income/yr per registration. That was the number I was dying to know in all this.

So each email registration although we dont get paid out on it is worth $2.41 income per year.

In order to make $120,000 a year with chaturbate ($10k/month) I need
120,000 / 2.41 = 49,792 total registrations.

Let's half that and make $60,000/ year as the first goal -

so I need:
49,792 / 2 = 24,896 registrations.

25,000 total registrations in my account

Once I hit 25 registrations / day which i stated as my first goal... it will take me:

1000 days (2yrs 9 months) to get to $60,000/year.
2000 days (5.5 yrs) to get to $120,000 a year.

That's too slow...

Ok so taking your numbers an example for end of year 2015:
$8259 commission/ 3427 total registrations = $2.41/ per registration per year.

$2.41 income/yr per registration. That was the number I was dying to know in all this.

So each email registration although we dont get paid out on it is worth $2.41 income per year.

In order to make $120,000 a year with chaturbate ($10k/month) I need
120,000 / 2.41 = 49,792 total registrations.

Let's half that and make $60,000/ year as the first goal -

so I need:
49,792 / 2 = 24,896 registrations.

25,000 total registrations in my account

Once I hit 25 registrations / day which i stated as my first goal... it will take me:

1000 days (2yrs 9 months) to get to $60,000/year.
2000 days (5.5 yrs) to get to $120,000 a year.

PornHero, you might be able to lower your numbers depending on traffic. My all time total is $5.069 per registration and growing each day. Based on these numbers your could halve your 75 registrations per day to achieve your goal.

If more people shared their stats, you could obtain a more average figure. I would assume there are people making much more per registration than me, and people making less. The law of averages over many accounts would give you a better idea.

You're right, an average across multiple accounts is the best way to go.

The underlying truth here is that I'm really going to have to attack this in a large way. 25-50 niche domains each with their own twitter account. Cross linked and uniquely optimized.

Avg 2 regs / day from each domain and i will obtain my $ goal

It didn't have a name but I have yet to have any problems. On my site which was recently redesigned and I have minimal content. I have a removal request form that I remove photos from models within hours of being contacted. My attorney says this is a great way to show compliance.

I don't wanna piss anyone off, I just want to work together to make everyone money. And screenshots are a big part of that.

Anyone have any questions I will try to answer them as best as I can.

I didn't think of it from the camgirls perspective but you are so right, I'm seeing a lot of camgirls in 3rd world countries making money they could never dream of in a regular job in their homeland.

Those systems, while a good idea, don't really work. Flirt4Free has on. The problem isn't affiliates and their API site's it's Google/Bing, etc. who have no respect for such filters as they only abide by what's in robots.txt. So what happens is you get a performer who blocks in their state thinking their family won't see their pictures and their comfort in this is completely false.

IMO if you're broadcasting your naked ass on the internet stop trying to limit your exposure and just focus on the traffic and money.

I think Chaturbate should be clear to models and to webmasters what is and isn't allowed and to let Chaturbate deal with everything, don't let the models go rogue.

Another issue for Camgirls to consider is privacy. To realistically think that a camgirl can come online, get naked, masturbate, fuck etc. and rely on geo filtering and DMCA to remain anonymous is wrong.

I get it, it's illegal to steal images and videos without consent. But a lot of people who do the stealing (not me) don't give two shits about a camgirl's privacy.

So If a camgirl thinks they can do cams and remain anonymous and their friends and family wont find a screencap of them online somewhere. They should reconsider another hobby.

Can anyone tell me what the source of these blanks are?

As far as I can tell I put a tracking code in every link. Are these the redirects that happen when a room is offline/banned or something?
