The official Putin's version says the "Kursk" has been destroyed by an internal explosion of its own torpedo during the tests. Ok, if that's true why all letters written by the crew to their wives and sons were censored? Only personal information (the farewell and last wishes) were delivered to their families. Everything else related to the catastrophe was removed. Why Putin did that if there was just a confirmation of the official version? The simple logic says it clear: the official version is a fake.

How does that prove in any way that US torpedo destroyed that sub? What evidence is there to support that conclusion? What would US achieve by that attack?

who knows what really happened? maybe 2 Russian subs were supposed to train by shooting "blank" torpedos at each other, but someone was too drunk and accidentally fired a "live" one? but really, the official version makes perfect sense, it's not like accidents like this are uncommon over there..

Yea, I think the drunk Russian sailors shooting at each other with live torpedoes sounds more reliable than the U.S. doing it. After all weren't they supposedly doing just that as they were running practice drills with real torpedoes wernt they? Shit they probably shot themselves...

Or it could be that as typical, bad command decisions and shitty up keep of their equipment were to blame, which seems to be very common in the Russian military. I mean really since WW2 Russians have lost 8 nuclear subs.. They obviously are not very good with what ever it is they are doing..

This was an unofficial report... Which pretty much falls in line with typical Russian military fucks ups and some of their other sub sinking.. Ie bad command, bad training and bad maintenance.. The crew wasn't even trained how to use the torpedoes on the Kursk and were using a training manual for completely different torpedoes..

Think about it. Torpedo doesn't punch through sub's hull. And if it explodes as it is designed to do, there is no round hole, there is explosion hole. Dud torpedoes bounce of from ship's or sub's hull, there is plenty of evidence from that, those don't make round holes. Either the torpedoes explode on the contact or nada.

I don't know what seamole's hole is that, but it isn't impact hole from torpedo. Maybe it is a hole made to lift the sub up from the bottom, I don't know.

Added to this, if for instance the US had some special torpedo which penetrated the ship before exploding.. Why is none of the interior framework damaged from a blast in that area? If you notice there is zero damage inside the hull from an explosion which could of originated at that hole..

It's most likely some sort of hatch hole or a hole made for lifting the sub out of the water.

When they first started showing that hole back when the kursk was first raised calling it a torpedo hole, I literately laughed my ass off, because it was so absurd.

Hell modern day anti surface ship torpedoes don't even make contact with the ship's hull.. They are designed to blow up underneath the ship in order to break the ship in half from the water pressure. I'd suspect anti sub torpedoes would work the same and never actually hit the hull.

This ship thing was the case already in WWII and probably in WWI too. It was magnetic detonation under the hull. However the case is different regarding subs as much smaller damage is enough to destroy the sub and the water pressure is much higher down the deep where the subs are. Though there might be magnetic detonation to increase the chance of hit. Or maybe you are right, I don't know, but there is not that much need for it regarding subs. Very succesful anti-sub weapons in WWII were direct contact hedgehogs (hit the top part of the sub).
