:mad Those "sanctions" suck!

56 rubles for 1USD today (it was as high as 70 rubles for a dollar just a couple of months ago). WTF is going on???

So Obama was lying when he said that "Russian economy is torn to pieces"? Is there something in this World he can do w/o fuckups? The people consider him as a clown who can do nothing but gab.

I read that oil went up and that was a positive signal to ruble.

Anyway I do not get your point - ruble is still very low compared to what it was before sanctions. It had to stop dropping at some time, so wtf is your point, lol.

All economical sanctions always work for a long term. Is they don't, they are just a giglet. Let me tell you "a secret". Ruble has started dropping a long time before the so-called "sanctions". It was falling since the end of 2013, and when oil prices depreciated twice in 2014, ruble has seriously dropped as well. But how it could be related to the Obama's speech about "Russian economy which is torn to pieces"? He is a master of twaddle (there is no doubt about it) who can't do anything for real. The "torn to pieces" economy can't recover up to 20% for a couple of months, especially if "sanctions" were not lifted during that time. Otherwise those sanctions simply don't work. I thought it's just obvious...

Yes, Yes, nothing ever affects the Russia. If the Rubble goes down it's because Mr Putin wants the Ruble to go down, we all get it. Everyone gather round and bow down to our Russian overlords, they are trying very very hard to be noticed in a world that has passed them by..

Seems like earning in USD and spending money in RUB, a shitty ruble is in your interest? That being said, i think USD is dropping, not so much the ruble going up. It dropped from 3,95 to 3,70 PLN now.

Yes of course and I never made a secret of it. BTW, not in only USD, I also earn in Euro ;)

I wouldn't say so. The fluctuations are very slight there.

Just like I said above (oil + gas and power resources are about 70% of all Russian export) It proves that Obama is just a useless windbag ;)

All the sanctions has done is simply drive the BRICs away from the US and USD at a time when the US needs them and its petrodollar more than ever. Plus forced Russia and China closer together. There's also a lot of rumors going around that Russia is about to sign a major deal with India (a milestone).

Now the US is totally snubbed and isolated over the AIIB (China's Massive Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank) which all major US allies signed up for. Japan was the only standout, except that now even they're considering to join:

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-0...china-led-bank

Very interesting video well worth watching:

Yeah, great recovery .....

USD vs RUB

US Dollar ($) ⇨ Russian Ruble (RUB)

It only balanced out because funds who shorted the ruble had to close their positions at some point, and the US cooled down the dollar a bit to stay competitive. the ruble is still in the toilet

It affected because it was Russian - Ukrainian conflict, and later a war!

Seriously, WTF - he is claiming that ruble devaluation and Ukrainian conflict is just a coincidence

So there is no civilian war on the Ukraine anymore? Maybe "sanctions" were lifted? Why ruble has go up then? ;)

Unbelievable!

Idiot, I already said that it can not drop non stop. At some point of course it stopped and even bounced a little. So what? It is still MUCH MUCH MUCH on the bottom compared to normal.
There could not be any other way, it can not drop to zero, so it is only natural and expected by everyone that it stops somewhere...
Seriously, how stupid can one be?

Are you serious or you are really that stupid? If there was no civilian war on the Ukraine, why ruble has started to fall? Care to explain, professor?

How Russian economy which on 70% depends on oil prices can be affected by a war in some other country? Your logic is just amazing, son

The conflict (maidan) was about pro russian powers vs pro ukrainian/european powers. So it was about how much power would Russia hold in Ukraine etc. Russia was supporting janukovic as their puppet etc. So yeah, it was pretty much important thing for Russia and its economy, thus ruble was influenced.
And it was not a civil war, it was Russian vs Ukrainian war later on!

Seriously, how can one be so stupid. Oh, no, actually no surprise knowing how Russian propaganda brainwash their sheep...

Read the thread title and don't post your bullshit here please. Ok?

Hint (for stupid only): it's not about oil prices that dropped 100% and tied ruble down. It's about so-called "sanctions" that just don't work.

In fact it is not (your sources suck, man): www.cbr.ru/hd_base/?PrtId=valint_day - zero of reserves were "burnt" for ruble strengthening during last two months:

Now I get why people call you a moron

You are the one tying economic performance with the absolute value of a currency. I explained there was other things to factor in when it come to currencies.

USD, RUB, EUR.... all the same to me, I have no emotional involvement in it beyond making money with it. I see you're the guy marching underneath your country's flag in a room singing patriotic song. I hate that guy, whatever his country. so fuck you. keep on being ignorant

that's why there's a truce on Ukraine- because the sanctions are not working and Putin's a laid back & peaceful dude, a tree-hugger. he has no plans of forcibly annexing Ukraine, the sanctions had nothing to do with that misunderstanding.

so, right, the sanctions are not working, you Russians just stopped your aggression just because.

right.

So you were unable to read the thread title? Where did you get your education? In a trailer park? Guess your parents are proud of such a clever son (you're not a girl, right?)

So ruble takes gigantic dump. Government uses its reserves to stabilize and it rebounds a bit but still remains in the shitter. But thats enough reasoning for russki clown to have early victory parade and say "sanctions dont work". Did I get this idiot's logic right?

The American assclown is back. Good morning, funster Once again for Florida circus members: no reserves were used to stabilize ruble during last couple of months (yes, I'm surprised too). Brush your teeth, wash your eyes, take an anti-hangover pill (better take two) and re-read this thread again: the stats on "burning" of federal reserves to support ruble were posted here - try to find them

Awww that's cute, I hurt your feelings

Tomorrow I'm playing badmington then going for a few beers with the family of a famous oligarch. He has Putin engraved on the back of his phone, we agree on many things including Crimea being Russian.

The funny thing is Russian companies are doing pretty good, at least the big ones, most Micex indexed companies are showing growth.

But you had to choose the Ruble, the only indicator that is still in the toilet.

Cut the fuckers off SWIFT finally - will make them air jet payments across the ocean, then declare Atlantic a new Bermuda rectangle with the correspondent outcome.

You know what's your problem, clown? The problem is that you read a lot of fake news instead of using sources. There is an official site of Bank of Russia, where you can get all the stats on their currency intervention for any period of time. Are you shocked? Anyways, the link was posted above. Use it and don't post your stupid comments, especially if you're drunk as fuck.

Now everyone sees you are drunk. Get some sleep and get back when you'll be sober, clown.

i see the ruskie avoided my post. i'll rephrase it as a question.

if the sanctions are not working, why did you ruskies halt your annexation of Ukraine by force and are at the negotiating table?

y'all all the sudden changed your minds about the war?

Are you an idiot? There are official stats and they are open to everyone. Go to the CBR website, set the time period and get the report. That's all you have to do actually. Is that so hard for an american clown like you? Sorry but I didn't get it. How a mature person can be that stupid?

Post them here than my wall rug professor. I value your bullshit dearly. Especially over commentaries of your own finance minister and nasdaq website.

Dated: Dec. 17 2014 11:50 (a hint for florida clown: December 16, known as "black Tuesday", was a day when ruble dropped to its historical minimum). You can't be that stupid. Really. I still believe you are just pretending
