Paxum closed my acct for no reason???

I've had a paxum acct for a while. Never really used it, just a little here and there but not in the last few years. During that time I moved. Recently I started using a sponsor that pays through paxum. Yesterday I logged in and submitted documents for an address change. Today I went to log in an my account said it was closed. I called Paxum and they said I violated their terms. For what, an address change? Wtf???
Any help here so I can get this resolved? An reps in here?

Companies always close accounts for no reason; especially when they bring them income. </sarcasm>

I love the "they never screwed ME, they must be legit" mentality.

We've got the GFY rep right here on the boards confirming that they closed some dude's account and are refusing to explain why to him. In what universe is that acceptable?

Sure, have standards, have rules. But what possible excuse can there be for closing accounts without explanation? It's unprofessional.

So we have no idea why Paxum could close an account with total opacity and impunity. The "honesty" of these guys is really borderline to say the least. I would stay away from 'em.

Paxum's terms of service are clearly shown on our website. We NEVER close an account without a justifiable reason.

Quoted from our terms below:

Quote:
6. ACCOUNT TERMINATION

6.1. Paxum reserves the right to terminate this agreement with the User for reasons below:

(a) Receipt of potentially fraudulent funds;
(b) Opening multiple Paxum accounts;
(c) The account has been used in or to facilitate fraudulent activity;
(d) Name on the identity papers do not match the name on the Paxum account;
(e) Receipt by Paxum of excessive complaints regarding your account, business or service;
(f) Use of an anonymizing proxy:
(g) Refusal to cooperate in an investigation or provide confirmation of identity when requested;
(h) Using Paxum E-Wallet for activities listed in section 3.4 of this Agreement;

If you are using our service, and complying with our terms, then you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

The OP stated that they never really used the account but started using it for 1 sponsor. That sponsor is not named.
Nor is the amount (I assume it to be rather small).

Paxum comes in here and confirms the account is closed and the reason for closing it it such that Ruth's hands are tied..

You say it's unprofessional? So you would rather that she disclosing someone private banking details and reason for closing the account on a public forum?

(a) Receipt of potentially fraudulent funds;
So far I received two small payments from a sponsor that pays exclusively through Paxum. Both totaled no more than $110 combined. I don't add any of my own funds.

Quote:
(b) Opening multiple Paxum accounts;
I only had the one account

Quote:
(c) The account has been used in or to facilitate fraudulent activity;
Same as (a), I only received from sponsor.

Quote:
(d) Name on the identity papers do not match the name on the Paxum account;
My name is still the same and appears on all documents sent.

Quote:
(e) Receipt by Paxum of excessive complaints regarding your account, business or service;
Since I don't use it, how can I get complaints?

Quote:
(f) Use of an anonymizing proxy:
I doubt seriously since my IS is Verizon, I'm on an anonymous proxy.

Quote:
(g) Refusal to cooperate in an investigation or provide confirmation of identity when requested;
Nothing there.....

Quote:
(h) Using Paxum E-Wallet for activities listed in section 3.4 of this Agreement;
Again, refer to my answer for (a)

And the sponsor I just started using is Crakrevenue which also pays using Paxum, wire or check. (Not the sponsor that originally sent my two payments previously) Other options would be highly appreciated. I have Paypal & Payoneer as alternatives.

Used to have Epassporte too and, not surprisingly, I've never had any issues with any of these processors that were caused by me. The only issue, obviously, was with Epassporte shutting down.

As far as unprofessionalism goes, a little more detail would have been nice instead of these cryptic answers that are being replied in a public forum. But it IS a public forum so that is to be expected. However, on my private call on the phone, all I got was I violated their terms and nothing else. That, in my opinion, is very unprofessional and unbusiness like.

Look dude, Ruth isn't going to post anything public because that puts the company at a liability. You can argue all you want over GFY, but you're never going to get a satisfactory reply.

Ruth might be able to give you a reason in emails, but then again, she might not want to in case she gives the game up: bottom line is either it was a false positive or you're not revealing the whole truth.

Either way, bumping this thread isn't going to help you. No one is going to suddenly stop using Paxum because someone got their account closed for an undisclosed reason.

Actually if you read my whole reply, you'll see I said sort of same thing you just did. I just didn't throw in the liability part.

Bumping the thread? I was just replying to the answer because not replying would look like I was slinking away with something to hide. That I am not doing. Personally I don't care. I didn't lose any money, my sponsor has an alternative in the works. So to me, this thread can be taken out back and shot in the head.

Are you actually stupid? Or are you just pretending so that you can sound like an internet tough-guy?

Nobody's saying Ruth should disclose the reason here, in public. We're saying Paxum should disclose the reason -- the specific reason, not a general gesture at their entire TOS -- to the owner of the account in question. It's their refusal to do that that is unprofessional and destroys trust.

This is far from the only episode alleging that Paxum has closed accounts in this opaque fashion.

Have you never -- not even once -- made a mistake in closing an account?

Yeah. We did not think so.

If the potential for mistakes exists -- and it always does -- then the only professional approach is to give the account holder a chance to point out that a mistake has been made. And this is impossible if you will not disclose -- to him, not of course to us -- the reason for the closure. The specific reason.

That's obviously nonsense, given this thread. Anyone using your service has to worry that you'll mistakenly close their account without giving them the information they need to correct your mistake.

RuthB, you're a stellar customer service rep. There's nothing personal about this. But you're being asked to rep an unsupportable policy here, one that has recurred every month or two ever since your service gained prominence after the Epassporte debacle and that continues to undermine trust in your organization. Y'all should fix it.

I don't care any more. I lost a whopping $1.88 that sat in that account forever. If they need it more than me they can have it. All this over an address change so I could start receiving deposits. Sheesh......
